3pm kick off, don't forget! Also it isn't on Sky or anything so looks like only option will be a £10 match pass on ifollow.

May see a pack shuffle depending on how tired players are, as some will be playing today, then travelling home. I believe we applied to have the fixture moved, and the request was turned down.

Given the circumstances obviously I'd accept a point, but really hope we keep the momentum and come away with a win!

The Presser.

Zimmermann ruled out for 4-6 weeks with hamstring, so effectively the rest of the season.

Farke hasn't even seen some of the lads who were away, or knows if they have returned a negative Covid test.

Rupp and Idah also not available.

Great stuff...

Yes, not good with all these injuries and poxy internationals and the travelling involved. I do, however think, that now , although never a good time, the players are so close to the mark, they wont want to slacken, they will want the promotion, they will want to be champions, and don't forget all those lovely bonuses and pay rises that go with the promotion. Hope I am correct. I think that we would all feel this way, if it were us

I think we still have enough quality to win this, Tettey or Omabamidele will come in at CB, Kenny will be rested and Sorenson will come in, Pukki only came off bench last game, as did Todd, so they should play. I don't think the team will look that different from normal.

Zimmer must be finished for us, regretfully he's turned into another sicknote, and I have serious doubts about paying big money (for us) for Gibson after all his injuries. We are already looking like starting in the PL short of CBs as DF never seems to want to buy any when we need them. I hope to God Hanley stays fit.

Love the look of that, excited at the prospect of seeing how Omobamidele and Mumba do.

In other news logged into my Bet 365 account, and found £100 I wasn't expecting! They have already paid out on my bet to win the league. Mugs!

Did not deserve that one bit. Preston soooo fucking lucky to snatch anything there, particularly off of a massive deflection. If we weren't coming into this game off the back of an busy international break with a depleted squad of players we would've wiped the floor with them today. Given the changes we had to make, with some making their first start for the club and others exhausted after being away and doing all that travelling, it was a brilliant effort, and one that merited all 3 points.

Ultimately though there is always a risk of this happening if you don't extend a 1-0 lead, and we had so many opportunities to do that. I know Pukki is one of those who played 3 international games during the break, but he simply has to score one of the 3 one on one's that he had. Do that and it's game over.

The lads that came in were all excellent. Mumba and Quintilla both really impressive, Sorenson generally was solid in midfield, but Omobamidele was the highlight of them all. You'd never know it was his first ever start for the club, he looked so assured in difficult circumstances and didn't put a foot wrong all game. A real shame that goal took a big deflection off him, he didn't deserve that at all and I hope it doesn't dent the confidence that he's hopefully gained from that performance. I definitely have no problems with him starting alongside Hanley for the remainder of the season. Has to be said as well, Emi Buendia is an absolute joke, another dazzling display from him.

2 games now against teams just above the bottom 3, so a great opportunity to get back to winning ways. Still 11 unbeaten and miles clear at the top!

Thanks Din. Still don't understand why Pukki had to play after all his minutes and travels. Hanley, I understand, and he proved his worth, helped young partner through his debut, a giant father figure there.I guess Hugill isn't rated

Birmingham have properly just done us a favour. Mathematical promotion is only 1 or 2 wins away now.

Dick Menace reckons 12 points. We'll see...

We technically need 12 points to mathematically guarantee promotion, but for me 2 wins would be more than enough. That would leave Brentford and Swansea needing 7 wins from their last 8/9 games, which given how they currently seem to be engaged in a mini-contest of who can bottle promotion the hardest, I can’t see either of them doing. I think there is genuinely a good chance we could lose every game between now and the end of the season and neither of them would still be able to get the 15 points needed to catch us. Hopefully as our next 2 games are against teams in the bottom 7 we can get the 2 wins we need to all-but secure that automatic place. I think even some of the bed-wetters on Facebook would find it hard to argue with that! (I’m joking obviously, they will no doubt find something to be incensed by).

4 wins is probably what we need to secure the title. That would leave Watford needing to win 6 out of their last 7 just to draw level with us. They’re obviously doing very well at the moment but considering all their remaining games are against teams 13th or higher, and they still have to play 4 of the current top 6 (including us) it would be some feat to pick up enough points to worry us.

I think that if we win our next 2 against Huddersfield and Derby there’s a good chance we’ll have both the auto’s and the title basically wrapped up.

TBF we've scored with quite a few deflected shots this season.

If we have to replace an injured player, it's often a case of a player coming in with little game time because Farke doesn't change the team.
The subs usually get a few mins at the end of a game at best, more a disruption tactic than anything else.
You might well ponder on whether giving key players 20 mins or so off at the end of a game we've sewn up would have helped refresh them, as well as giving the subs game time.

As the man said, you can't win every game.

Great analysis mate :)
