Away Kit 1988-89

Good evening Norwich fans...

Very random question and request for you and then I'll clear off again....

Does anyone have an image of your away kit from the 1988/89 season? This was the season you started like an express train and were top for a while with the goals of Robert Fleck and Dale Gordon.

Reason I ask, is that during lockdown I've been developing my creative streak and drawing posters for each season showing all 20/22 teams' home kits. I'm currently working on the 1988/89 season which for me has huge emotional significance as it was the year I started following football (full disclosure - I am a Tottenham fan!) and wanted to also include away kits too. I cannot find any images of a Norwich away kit which I suspect was because, with Watford and Oxford having been relegated the season before, and commercialisation of replica kits a good decade away, you probably never wore anything but yellow all season?! Though I'm sure one must have been produced?

If you have an image you could share I'd be hugely appreciative.

My shirt expert (he is a massive collector) thinks this one, but isn't 100% sure.

This was our away shirt 89-92. We're not sure if years are muddled here, but the different sponsors should help you narrow it down. Yeah, he has absolutely every shirt ever made!

Many thanks! The season in question (88/89) I'm sure is the top one as Fosters Lager was the sponsor on the home shirt and the asics with the diagonal lines matches your home kit design from 1989/90 - 1991/92 as you state.

I can see that you played Watford in a League Cup tie in Oct 1990 - I suspect you didn't change kit once between 1987 (whenever you played Oxford or Watford in Div 1) and then this game at Watford in the Cup.

Anyway, apologies for bringing you into my world of 1980s kit fascinations! Thanks again and best of luck for the season - hope to see you back in the Premier League next season. :)

I've got some pants from 1989 if that helps?
