All the loan players will be returning to their parent clubs .... to be honest I'm not that bothered. None of them have been really consistent throughout the season and one of them has been spectacularly poor. Next season IMHO what we need is a solid squad of players who will be committed to the club for more than one season. The departure list is fair and the return of the loan-outs will give Smith a few more options. Two or three new signings wouldn't go amiss (especially a striker) and I would like to see a seasoned old campaigner among them, someone like Peters or Channon. I am not overly optimistic about an instant return to the PL but I think the squad could be competitive in the Championship. Smith has had success in this division so there is hope that he can turn the mess he inherited into something positive.
