Surely the BBC's days are numbered.
They're just so ridiculous, political and woke, it'll be a relief when the Government finally tells them to f**k off and scraps the BBC Licence Tax.

I am definitely a fan of scrapping the licence fee, I literally never watch live telly, but have to keep paying because I watch Sky.

The BBC have got themselves in a right mess here, be interesting to see what they does next. I don't see how they can let him back on. But MOTD is a popular show. Also Lineker doesn't need the money so can afford to stick to his principals. Interesting. Wright and Shearer saying they aren't going on either, the Beeb really have backed themselves into a corner here.

And regarding what Lineker did, I don't like him, or his politics, but at the end of the day the BBC is a public funded institution, which is bound by a charter to be politically neutral. He has broken their social media policy countless times, and actually comparing Britain to Nazi Germany was probably a step too far.

It's not just Lineker though, social media is full of examples of BBC people with political views, it's hilarious really.
What a mess!

There will be repercussions when the Licence Tax is abolished, and it will be.
Why would an organisation that has to find £ for itself have so many local radio stations fir instance?
BBC Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Essex would probably be BBC East.
You'd likely have Hertfordshire etc etc in that as well.
Our football commentary would almost certainly be a thing of the past.

It seems that the BBC has started a war on this one!
I didn't watch MOTD regularly anyway but I do find it quite amusing watching the shitstorm going on at the moment. :D

o_OMOTD is indeed popular, but I would suggest it's the football that's popular not the inane pundits nor the interviews with managers and players, who are unable in the most to string more than two words together. On a personal note I can do without hysterical female commentators
I see Leftie Neville is blaming the Tories for all of it:rolleyes:

It's quite entertaining watching from a distance

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer my football to just be about football. I'm not interested what particular social or political bandwagon a commentator or player is on. And I sure as hell couldn't care less about their sexual preferences either.

I go to football to forget all about the other bollocks the world is filled with, and just enjoy the moment. Am bored of being lectured.

I agree entirely Morty.
All football clubs and businesses in these 'enlightened' times have to be seen to be fair to all.
Some, including members of NCFC push it as being almost of more importance than the football though.
BBC's way of doing things is completely distorted, IN MY VIEW, so I don't consume much of their output anyway.
