First proper awayday of the season for me (I am wiping Crawley from my mind).

I would expect an unchanged side from the Chelsea game, think it may be too soon still for Zimmerman and nobody else who played on Tuesday night, has played themselves into the starting lineup, in my opinion!

Congratulations on getting tickets ! :)
Didn't you get any? My son got mine, he is in the first group, he rarely misses a game, but I am in the second group. He was online bang on 9, and eventually got mine just after half past. When he looked again, minutes later it said they were sold out, so mine must have been one of the last ones.

I’m not a member so my chances are limited ! I’m actually thinking of trying to do more lower league games and concentrate on new grounds instead. I’m off to Oxford next Tuesday to watch our U23s in the EFL trophy

I went to the London stadium for the baseball in June. I hope the beer and food is cheaper for you all on Saturday

From the presser :-

With Farke at Colney. On Klose, he has had 1 scan and will have another with a specialist next week. 4 months out minimum, surgery certain. But the second scan will determine if there’s also a meniscus issue - which would mean 9-12 months out. Complicated & a bad one. :(

Farke adds calmly Grant Hanley overstretched his groin in training this morning. He will have a scan this afternoon, is definitely out of tomorrow’s game and a serious doubt over joining up with Scotland.

Zimbo is available. He got a hit against his back and hip and was sore but he trained today.

Alex Tettey will travel with us to West Ham and Josip Drmic is also available. Drmic trained with us the last three days, he'll be back 100% after the international break but he is an option for tomorrow.

CB situation is getting a mite serious.

Yup, certainly is. We best hope Zimmermann and Godfrey stay fit, as we won't have a centre back on the bench on Saturday. Amadou can play there so there is vague cover I guess. Not ideal though.

Can't believe Zimm is 100% tbh, only wants a crack on the knee/ankle whatever. Just hope he can get through Wet Spam then he's got 2 weeks to get to 100%, perhaps we can then relax a bit.

looks bad on paper in the centre of defence, but realistically we just need to get through the West Ham game and we'll hopefully have Zimm and Hanley both back at 100%, certainly need to get a CB in during the January window though, or start looking at the free transfer market

I don't know if I care anymore. The football our lads play is unbelievably good. I love to win, watching this team is winning.

We're going to have to sign a free agent, surely there must be at least a Championship standard centre back who can just sit on the bench when required and used in an emergency.

I suspect a Championship standard centre back would be a better option than trying to play Byram or Hiese at centre back, otherwise its Russell Martin all over again.

There's Chris Samba who played 12 games for Aston Villa last season, could just give him a 3 month deal and then sign a proper player in January? Or similar, whoever.

Samba has always been a mercenary so I'm sure he'd take that on £25k a week as an easy earner to mostly warm the bench!

Not sure I would've risked Zimmermann. Obviously Farke and the medical staff will know if he's ready or not but even so he had no preseason and has been out for quite a while. Think I would've been tempted to rest him here and give him another 2 weeks to get his fitness up over the international break. It would be a disaster if he got injured again.

But ultimately if he's playing though they must think he's fit enough to play. Hopeful we can get at least a point out of today!

Zimmermann off injured after 36 minutes, not good

Yup. Don't get me wrong it was a horrible challenge from Haller but can't help but feel a fully fit Zimmermann runs that off. We could've afforded to play Amadou this game and for him to have a shocker and lose the game. What we can't afford is for Zimbo to be ruled out for a long period of time. So frustrating, not to mention the goal partly came cos Zimmermann couldn't get a block in for the cross partly because of his injury.

As for our performance, we haven't been terrible and have certainly showed signs we can get something, but at times we have been sloppy and guilty of overplaying. Need to be more fluid and clean cut second half. Also really need Buendia to step up. We all know how good he is but he's been poor so far.
