Was keeping an eye on the Oxford twitter feed today, Morris started up top for them and it looks as though he was involved a bit:

First team full debuts for George Long, Joe Riley, Michael Collins, Junior Brown and Carlton Morris. #oufc
6 United go forward with intent. Riley plays in Morris who touches the ball back for Ruffels but Mclaughlin parries. 0-0 #oufc
39 Morris plays in Brown down the middle but a tackle wins United the corner. 0-0 #oufc
58 Newey crosses into the mixer. Morris rises highest but his header goes wide. 0-1 #oufc

He was given 7 out of 10 on www.the72.co.uk with this write up;

He held up play very nicely and despite only being a teenager, the debutante played with an essence of maturity. He made three or four fantastic unselfish runs to open up space for Rose and Potter, however a quiet second half let him down slightly.

Get in Morris. Scores against Bristol City on the League Cup. Bullet header apparently.

Reckon we can get a round of this going at Carrow Road if he starts scoring for us?

He played 84 minutes on Saturday, Oxford don't score a ton of goals though......finished 0-1 to Pompey.

They have lost all 4 of their league games, are bottom of the league and only score 1 goal.

Do we call it 'character building' or do we get him the hell out and send him to a better team?

He's part of the team. Could just be he's not good enough for league football yet.

Noticed that Morris was an unused substitute today as Oxford drew 1-1. He had been starting but due to their terrible form, it may be they are making some changes.

Hopefully this was a one-off and he gets back on the field soon, no use having a player out on loan that doesn't play.

Oxford bought another striker, can't remember his name but I think he used to play for Brighton so that's probably why he didn't play

If Carlton Morris is playing for the U21s, what happened to his loan spell?

As much as I would love Carlton to make a future for himself, I was rather surprised to see him turned to for the last 10 minutes against Wigan. I wasnt watching the game and it may have been a good call, just surprised that was the option AN picked in that scenario. Was that his full debut for us?

That's good, it would seem that AN really sees something in him.
