Currently watching "Hannibal". 3 seasons, made in 2013, available on Netflix.

It charts the rise of Hannibal Lecter while he was working with the FBI and is set before the film "Red Dragon".

Definitely recommend, not for the squeamish though!

Yeah it's good stuff. Love the way it takes stuff from the books/films and adds to it. Shame they never got the rights for the silence of the lambs stuff and made that rumoured 4th series.
As you say though it's pretty grim in places!

I'm working my way through inside number 9 at the moment. And also the fast show. Which is nice.

Just started Squid Game 2, first one was decent, so hoping this one is same.

Traitors, series 3 has started as well, I didn't think I'd like it, but enjoyed the first 2 when it came on iPlayer.

Bob and Paul's Christmas fishing show was excellent, as was Wallace and Gromit

All of the suggestions are sure to be much better than some of the dross i watched last night. I'm not sure who books jools Holland's musical acts but one appeared to be a zombie corpse, one started laying on the floor and singing and geldof must be some kind of evil genius for making a whole career out of raising a few quid when I was a toddler.
Then you had Sophie Ellis bextor who couldn't mime or dance in time.
It reminded me why I normally don't bother to see in the new year!

I finished watching Ludwig, starring David Mitchell, last night. Very very enjoyable show. Very well balanced between a good self-contained procedural show and an interesting arc spanning the episodes.

I loved fallout, but I just couldn't get on with the Handmaid's tale. Just too depressing for my tastes.

I'm just about to start season 2 of "SAS Rogue Heroes". The first season was cracking.

My brother said the soundtrack was great, lots of punk, don’t watch a lot of TV but might give this a go.

Perhaps everyone has watched The Day of the Jackal? I would give it 9/10 for maintaining interest. The music is also well-chosen. Only occasionally do you get a referencing to the original 1973 film.
Won't say anymore as it would become a spoiler. Highly recommended and one of the best things I watched in 2024 following on from Beef in 2023. A credit also to Loudermilk, an offbeat Canadian location based comedy.

Am watching "Black Doves" on Netflix just now. Very good, and Keira Knightley is most pleasing on the eye...

I've now watched the first five episodes of the first series of SAS rogue heroes. It's watchable but because the stories are so outrageous, even though they're true it's difficult to believe. This isn't helped by the soundtrack, which is very good but just doesn't work for me. Watching the SAS load up their trucks to the Stranglers is just a bit odd. Having said all that, as I've said it is quite watchable so I'm sticking with it as it's definitely got something going for it.
