Trumps Speech

Was a bit rambling the bits I’ve seen, sort of conversations I’ve had at 6am after a house party has got a bit out of hand.
All being said though the faux outrage from those opposed to him is simply pathetic. They simply can’t accept the fact their Blairite “end of history” neoliberal globalist worldview has been replaced amongst almost every first world country for a much more nativist one

Not a fan of globalism.

Big Donnie not messing around on day one with his executive orders!

Withdrawing from the Paris climate accord and the WHO are both huge!

The left seem too stunned to show outrage. Perhaps they can't believe what's happening.
I don't regard myself as left-wing, but I'm just watching all of this in horror. Terror seems a reasonable response to all of this in my view.

A President just pardoned 1,500 lawfully convicted violent criminals who took part in an insurrection in his favour with nobody batting an eyelid for political reasons.

Looking down the line, he has set his sights on birth-right citizenship of the US and is whipping up a frenzy against that. Birth-right citizenship is a consitutional right. He could only change that with 2/3ds of both houses voting in favour. Or if he just tears up the US constitution entirely. I'm very concerned that that's the game plan, and I don't see why, if attempting violent insurrection, leaning on governors to 'find' votes is all fair play in the world of Donald Trump, that just scrapping the US constitution won't be on his agenda .

This is the country whose power underwrites the security of all other democracies. This is nightmare stuff in my view.

That "insurrection" was absolute bullshit. Have you ever seen the video of security staff just leading people through the Capitol building?

I am astounded that not more was made of it.

Also some of those people, I was reading, hadn't been convicted. This is all very similar to people who were jailed here by literally going along to demonstrations just to have a look at what was going on. I shouldn't imagine that any people freed did anything particularly bad.

It was a violent mob entering government buildings incited by the sitting President rejecting a lawful election result. Smashing windows to break in etc. There's no downplaying it; it fits the definition.

All those who illegally entered the Capitol last January 6th 2020 warranted their convictions.

Explain the video footage.
Rather than ask me to explain the claims of a discredited hack, what’s your explanation against the far greater weight of evidence that the sitting president of the US incited an inssurection?

So you don't think it is in any way suspicious that the people are being escorted through the building by security? I can get you the same video from another source if that helps?

If the weight of evidence is so great, why was he never prosecuted? How come he has managed to be President again?

Can you explain the numerous injured police on that day ? Can you explain Donald Trumps comments blatantly claiming the election had been fixed against him ? Can you explain the footage of people violently smashing their ways into the Capitol building, if it wasn’t insurrection ?

How is it that otherwise sane people like yourself buy this rabbit hole shit pushed by the likes of Carlson?

Trump didn’t get convicted because the Supreme Court that he’d stacked for the republicans delayed things so much that he’d been reelected before any decisions.

As to what the American public reelecting him, I just put that down to a lot of them being thick as pig shit.

I think there are unanswered questions regarding vote counting. Also I don't think it beyond the realms of possibility that agitators were bussed in to start trouble.

But again, insurrection is a very serious offence, why was he never charged? I replied before you edited. The evidence can't be that overwhelming then, can it?

The case was dismissed without prejudice (and will possibly be resurrected in 2029) ....however I think he will not be alive by that date...just not sure at all that he will last the term of his own presidency.

We're getting the same shit here for our Presidential election. Tic Toc rage funded by putin, stirring up the shit wherever he can.
Old Donald certainly came out swinging there, certainly hope he's successful in the long run

The people have spoken and some people don't like the verdict they have delivered.
Nothing new there.
The insurrection of January 6th 2020 should have been a warning to any sane individual who values the opportunity to choose their government not to reelect him.

Trump’s inauguration heralded the replacement of the underwriter of Western democracies as a coalition of nations into an oligarchy where decision-making is going to be made for and on behalf of the insanely wealthy like the crew sitting behind Trump at his inauguration: Bezos, Musk, Zuckerberg. Practically all of social media and online commerce pulling his strings.

You seem very intent on branding anyone with a different political opinion either insane or stupid?

Have you considered that the majority of America voted for him because they like the sound of his policies?
