Sorry, still no time for fancy club crests!

Lots of talking points here, Ruddy and Olson likely not making it, is Brady fit enough yet for another 90 minutes, the retuirn of Wilbrahamovic to Carrow road.

Will Canos start? Did Wes do enough to keep his place? Did Howson?

We could do with a rousing win before Saturday's visit to the scum.

I'm a little worried about this one. If we don't have a good start I feel like Carrow Road will turn on the team (we seem to be turning into one of THOSE grounds) and if that happens, players heads could drop. Could do with pushing the lads on here.

McGovern
Pinto Klose Bennett Brady
Howson Mulumbu
Naismith Hoolahan Canos

Maybe.

I hope they have been training set pieces. They are an important part of the game and ours seem pretty poor. Brady is touted as a specialist but on Saturday he seemed to hit the first defender or way past the far post all the time. And our corners are just about hit and hope I'm afraid.

I'm sure they will eventually sort out the home versus away formations. Howson looked totally lost Saturday. I think he is too good for that. I want AN to be brave and just have one sitting at home especially against sides who sit or we push back. We clearly do have a problem with teams who do this at Carrow Road. I suppose that shows their respect for us. And Naismith ought to be showing his class in the box, not forever picking the ball up on half way with a wall of opposition in front of him.

Hopefully Jacob will be fit and back in the line up and desperate to show the faithful what he can do.

Is Pritchard not fit then? I'd like to see more of Canos but surely if Pritchard is fit he starts in the absence of the Murphys.

Anyway I'm away so won't be able to see this probably. Bristol City are a decent team who should be pretty comfortably mid-table this season, but you'd hope that at home we can secure 3 points here. As mentioned it'd be great if we can go into the game against the scum on the back of a good win.

Josh Murphy and McGovern start, Brady moves to left back, so pretty much the side that played most of the game Saturday after the injuries

Where is the £2.5M winger we bought from on of Europes better clubs? Murphy was not an influence at all Saturday. Big squad means you don't have to worry about changing things.

good performance tonight, was good to see Bristol come here and have a go which left space for us, they looked much more of a goal threat than sheff wed did

Jerome worked his socks off tonight despite being given very little supply, Brady looked a lot better than at the weekend, Pinto looked good as did the whole defence, back to back clean sheets always good to see, Howson took his goal well, and Naismith and Wes seem to be getting more and more on the same page, wouldnt be surprised to see Canos come in for Josh at the weekend as I feel he looked a lot more of a threat when he came on

also the big screen was great tonight, I think when the screen moved to show the barclay we celebrated that more than when the actual goal went in

Agreed. A really enjoyable game. We had difficulty turning possession into good chances at times but were deserving winners. Most of our players did well. I thought Murphy looked a bit lightweight but Canos made a really promising start. McGovern also loom like a good buy. Lafferty got a big cheer, presumably the relief of remembering we do actually have a second striker. A slight sense of desperation there.

Comfortable 1 nil win. Bristol will be fine but we should be beating them - job done.

Josh needs to get a bit more streetwise.

I was just listening to the radio commentary but sounds like the last few posters called it.

McGovern seems to have done pretty well - can't really fault him so far.  What do people think ?

McGovern looked ok, didnt have a huge amount to do to judge him properly in either game, but what he had to do he did with minimal fuss, dealt with crosses well and made saves when needed, the one thing I did pick up on was people around me commenting on how much smaller he is than John Ruddy, which is true although Ruddy is somewhat of a beast of a man, I've never been convinced that being a giant keeper was a necessity, I'd say he looks more agile than Ruddy, and despite Ruddy being able to get across the goal due to his size McGovern looks to have good speed and reflexes to get across which makes up for his lack of size, plus he's started his career here with back to back to cleansheets so cant have to many complaints, if he keeps playing well in the next couple of games I can see Ruddy having a real fight on for his place in the side

Listening to Chris Goreham and Darren Eadie it seemed that once the goal went in, it was virtually all us and the only way they would score is if we presented it to them.

As an aside, how did Kodija, rumoured one of targets,  play?
