Yeah, like the look of that apart from goalkeeper. Whilst Ruddy had a good game the other night, I don't think McGovern has done anything to deserve being dropped.Ruddy. Bassong & whittaker after a great defensive turns, Thompson impressing sitting deep Pritchard naismith and josh starring too. Suspect Oliveira will start on the bench.
Suspect there wont be much change from last weekend, esp if Tettey if still out. I would like to see
Ruddy
Pinto Martin Klose Olsson
Dorrans
Jacob Howson Pritchard Brady
Jerome
Subs
McGovern Bassong, Thompson, Josh, Wes, Naismith Oliviera
Rest Wes for the game v newcastle.
I also like the look of that. But AN's preferred formation is 4-2-3-1, so I would expect Howson to drop back into the 2. However I expect the 2 will be given licence to do more than sit.Ruddy. I've always said, start with your best 11, get the game into a good position and then think about resting players, no point resting players for Newcastle if we dont beat Burton, if we can get a couple of goals up after an hour, then we should start thinking about changes with tuesday in mindThe Wes question is an interesting one. Resting him for Tuesday certainly is an option but I have a hunch we will see him tomorrow.

I agree Din. And more importantly I think AN would as well. I think his position would be that today's are the more important 3 points as that is what is facing us now.I've always said, start with your best 11, get the game into a good position and then think about resting players, no point resting players for Newcastle if we dont beat Burton, if we can get a couple of goals up after an hour, then we should start thinking about changes with tuesday in mind
Its an odd one for me, everything points to this being easy for us, but we all know, deep down, we still have the ability to push the self destruct button.A narrow defeat to Brighton and two draws away against Fulham and Wolves previously indicates that Burton are no push over and getting used to this division, so I think we will probably need to be patient today. That said, the result against Everton with so many changes really did emphasise the depth and strength of our squad at this level, so a win is expected, and I am hoping it will be from a team that includes John Ruddy, as other than a slight error in the last couple of minutes looked bang on form, commanding and full of confidence vs Everton. As for Hoolahan, I see him missing midweek as the best way to play him and would make most other changes for the long trip to Newcastle, wth this squad it would make sense.
