Next Manager?

I guess we need a dedicated thread to this so who would we like to see?

First choice - I would go for Warburton from Brentford, done a great job on a budget and his team work hard - I think we need to see some effort and pressing.

Second - Robinson or Garcia.

I expect it to be Phelan as I am finding it hard to identify a choice with limited negatives (and every option has a long list of them!)

Cooper at Swindon is another for me.     And I would consider warnock on a 6 month only contract - huge bonus and cheerio if we get promoted (woeful in the prem) and sacked if we dont.   Rangnick would be bold but probably unsuited to champs.    I wouldnt want Robinson (or clough) both seem to me to flatter to deceive and not achieved too much despite good investment.

Either way we only have 5 months - so as fans whoever it is we have to get behind them and hope for a successful 5 months.

I agree, it is most likely going to be Phelan.

I agree about Cooper, he seems to have introduced many of the youngsters into the squad which has to be a positive. 

I would hate to see Warnock here, the man is awful in every regard and we really can't go down that road with the fans so thoroughly divided.

Has old Ralf Rangnick been linked to you as well? Was meant to replace Roy Hodgson at ours, Seemed a bit a nightmare when it came to interview We ended up with Clarke. He wanted a Champions league side really.

Sherwood wold be a great signing. However his expectations are higher than his exprience plus his backroom staff are mega expensive

Yeah I don't understand the fuss about Karl Robinson either. I guess it is because he's still only 34 and people see him as having a lot of potential, but it is his 5th attempt at taking MK Dons up. 

Simon Grayson's 9 year CV is ten times more impressive, a promotion with each of his last 3 clubs and 3rd in the league with his current club (who beat us 2-0 on Saturday).

According to Skybet he's 20/1 for the job, cant really see us going for a non-british manager though to be honest

Youngest ever to get UEFA licence, basically built MK Dons from the ground up, plays attractive possession football, 45%+ win record over 250 games, 50 goals and 10 clean sheets for his side by December, MK Dons contribute more players to English youth than any team outside of the big boys.

He's only 34, he'll be managing in the Prem before he's 40 guaranteed.

I doubt he'd come boss. We've interviewed twice and both went badly. His attitude seems to be, he should be at a top 6 club despite having only 29 games under his belt

Did he? They finished 3rd in League One under Paul Ince in 2008/09, which Karl Robinson hasn't bettered (they have finished 5th twice under his management). Last season they finished 10th, and the year before that 8th. 

Believe it or not they are actually the 7th biggest club in League One (going on average attendances), so not like they are punching above their weight by finishing 10th or 8th, is it?
