Because the manager wanted to play RVW...I don't condone what he is alleged to have done and would buy his train tickets to Bournemouth but why, when the manager says he has a role to play, was he only going to be sub behind RVW?

I was hoping for better than thatBecause the manager wanted to play RVW...
Maybe he hasn't settled around these parts.I don't know to be honest why he would want to leave us for Bournemouth.
He didn't move here last season, preferring to stay in Surrey. Has never totally committed.Whilst I really want to believe this isn't true, the fact that there is no striker on the bench suggests to me that he was supposed to be on the bench.
If this is true, he needs to go, now. I don't know to be honest why he would want to leave us for Bournemouth.
I'm shocked. Do clubs still allow that to happen? He didn't move here last season, preferring to stay in Surrey. Has never totally committed.
Really? Wow. How on Earth would that work though? Surely he doesn't make a 5 hour round trip each day to training? He didn't move here last season, preferring to stay in Surrey. Has never totally committed.
At least he could get the train in or something. Surrey, though? Seems a bit much...I believe Bassong was still living in London too.
Not really the same situation though.. If anything, it makes Ricky look miles better. At least he didn't throw his toys out of the pram like a petulant child.
RvW could've forced through a move when it was clear he'd be 3rd or 4th choice. Our much heralded record signing Dutch international striker was seemingly happy to keep his head down and try and make a go of things, while a journeyman we picked up from a minor Championship team (at the time) has gone AWOL after appearing in 2/3 Premiership games so far. Pathetic. Not really the same situation though.
If that's what they're offering, then I'd take it too.Bournemouth apparently put in a 3rd bid earlier today of £5.2m with an extra million if they stay up.
I'd take that tbh. Probably more than he's worth. Hope we use the money to get Charlie Austin.
Do you think any decent club was pushing as hard to get RVW as Bournemouth are pushing to get Grabban?RvW could've forced through a move when it was clear he'd be 3rd or 4th choice. There was the heavily rumoured return to Sporting. I imagine he's still held in fairly high regard in Portugal and Holland.Do you think any decent club was pushing as hard to get RVW as Bournemouth are pushing to get Grabban?
