What was the formation?
Flat back 4. Wes playing from the right (ish). Josh left. Vrancic, Maddo and Reed in the middle with Reed the deepest and Vrancic generally the highest up.

Reed is a real good player. Real good.

Really good to get our first win of the season under our belt. 1st half was underwhelming to say the least, and the game in all honesty had 0-0 written all over it. 2nd half though was a different kettle of fish, and we were really impressive. We moved the ball with purpose and looked a real threat, but arguably best of all we looked completely solid defensively.

Reed undoubtedly man of the match today. Thought Maddison edge him in the Sunderland game but today Reed was definitely the stand-out performer. Defensively he did a great job and he links the play so nicely as well. Would say our next best player was Wes, who was his usual self. Really hope despite the fact he played 90 minutes today he can start against Villa against on Saturday. The two centre backs were really assured and both had superb games, particularly Zimmermann. Franke struggled on Sunday but he looked great today. Vrancic had an indifferent 1st half, but 2nd half he was fantastic. Great tactical decision by Farke to move him slightly further forward, he had really strong impact on the game after that. Really hope the injury to Pinto isn't anything serious, he was brilliant today. I do feel like having him in the side improves us dramatically, purely because he is such an outlet. Maddison once again was very good, and Husband probably had his best game in a Norwich shirt. Nelson like the rest of the squad was excellent 2nd half, and really looked dangerous every time we moved forward. He also took his goal really well. Gunn made a couple of very good saves as well. The only player I thought was below par was Josh Murphy, who got into good positions a couple of times but would then just smash the ball across goal without even looking to see what options he had. He was also very lightweight at times.

Without sounding too cocky, what I said about reverting to a back 4 certainly meant our centre backs were less exposed, and overall we looked a lot more solid. QPR admittedly didn't offer much but we general dealt with what they did have and looked strong. As I said as well Farke demonstrated once again his willingness to change it around during games, by moving Vrancic further up the pitch, which definitely made us stronger. Anyway I'm off to Villa on Saturday, and am really looking forward to it!

We've been quick to ditch the back 3 then, unless its been temporarily ditched until we sign a new centre back so we could drop Russell Martin?

I actually question whether we should ever be playing that wing back system at home.

I wonder whether we'll typically go with the flat back 4 at Carrow Road and bring out the wing backs for away fixtures? Would make sense, wouldn't surprise me if that's how it ends up being. Hoolahan really needs to be playing at Carrow Road, and the extra midfielder makes it easier for that to happen.

Hopefully not ditched, but more about Farke learning about different players qualities and adapting to different opponents. I should imagine the blood and guts of the Championship is a bit of a culture shock. I like that he isn't afraid to change things from match to match, and also in a game, if its not working.

As long as the changes continue to have a positive effect of course.....

Agree that if Hoolahan continues good form he should be playing him in the majority of home games.

when Pinto came off the pitch he went to the dugout and not the tunnel so don't think it was anything too serious, also he came back on the pitch at full time to celebrate so i'd imagine he'll be ready to go against Villa at the weekend
