Expecting a tricky game. Blackburn strike me as the sort of side that are capable of raising their game when they come up against the top sides in this league, and at the moment we are one of them. Incidentally Blackburn are gonna have a huge say on what the top of the table looks like going into the new year, as their next 4 games are us, Leeds, Sheffield United and West Brom. With Leeds and Sheffield United being away games, this will certainly be a game they target points from. They may be inconsistent but they undoubtedly have some good players and getting a result here is gonna be tough.
Leitner, Klose and Hernandez in for Vrancic, Godfrey and Cantwell for me. Sounds as if Leitner and Hernandez are fit enough to start, and even though Vrancic has been good overall since coming in, if Leitner's fit then he has to play. Hernandez was brilliant off the bench against Bristol City, and even though Cantwell and Buendia were both below par last week it'd be Cantwell that I'd drop. That said, Buendia hasn't been at his best for a few games now, so really needs to up his game. It'll be interesting to see if Klose isn't fit whether Farke sticks with Godfrey or twists on bringing Hanley back in. Godfrey has been decent but if Hanley can recapture last season's form then it's no contest who plays, though after so long out it's a risk.
Looking forward to this game as always. With Leeds playing Villa there's a good chance a win could take us back to the top. If we can win it'll be a massive result going into a tough run after Christmas.

Think we could do with getting Rhodes on soon. Blackburn are often forcing us to go long, problem is Pukki's not the sort of guy whose gonna win headers against two physical Blackburn centre backs, so every time we go long Blackburn get the ball straight back.

What a f*cking win. Blackburn had 1 defeat in 31 home games before this game. 2 of our best players off injured by half time, our best centre back not even able to make the bench, and yet again we get 3 points. This side just keep defying expectations and it's fantastic!
4 points from Bristol City and Blackburn away. Can't argue with that. A really tough run of games now Forest, Derby, Birmingham and Sheffield United at home, Brentford, West Brom and Leeds away, all before we play the scum at home. Bring it on!

Stream lasted 50 minutes. Surprised a how crude Blackburn were. Obvious from start they were out to nobble the flair players. Ref could have done better,, but maybe that was his maximum

Really feeling like this is happening now. Quite often when you play nice football in the Championship you get undone by physical sides, but Farke has instilled such a belief in the players that, no matter what happens, no matter what they throw at us, no matter who gets injured, the players still genuinely believe that they can win.

Being 2nd isn't too bad at the moment, the pressure is different when you're chasing, it can be easier.
Also if it is us and Leeds vying for the top spot, that competition will keep us away from the playoffs.

West Brom now look like their going on a run though, that's now 5 wins and 2 draws from 7 games....
Its beginning to look like a 3 horse race developing and a lot may come down to results when we play each other.
We could really do with inflicting full retribution on Leeds and at least avoiding defeat away to West Brom... We play West Brom in a few weeks.
Didn't realise also that Stoke are unbeaten in 10 games, possible late surge for them as a dark horse?

The second half of the season is up for grabs with a transfer window, injuries, teams having good runs either to the playoffs or to escape relegation, alot to play for yet.
Generally, I'm convinced that Leeds will drop off because of the managers training and odd ideas. He is a lunatic and players will put up with all sorts during the good times but come injuries and suspensions etc, players won't be drawn towards his strange ways.
West Brom can let in goals etc.
We have nothing to fear, just keep doing what we're doing, well be up.
