Ultimately you can't win them all, and fortunately we have another game on Saturday where we can put things right.

To be fair we were considerably better 2nd half. Declan Rudd typically had the game of his life and then as we're pushing to get back in the game they go and score following an outrageous 35 yard freak of a half-volley. I think if we do score the penalty then based off how the 2nd half played out we would've got something, but realistically that would've been harsh on Preston, who undoubtedly merited the win. We really missed a Vrancic or Leitner today.

Onto a very winnable game on Saturday where we can redeem ourselves.

In good news though, Nelson Oliveira scores a late winner for Reading which moves them a place outside the drop zone and so leaves Ipswich 10 points adrift :D

Should have been Pukki on the penalty. Stiepermann has been off it last couple of games and Pukki, although f*cking up from the spot earlier in the season, scores goals.

Norwich City and Preston North End put on a fantastic footballing show at Deepdale this evening.
I think a 4-4 draw may have been an apt scoreline for this scintillating and crazy night.
The Canaries deserve huge praise for their attitude and style throughout a superb second-period performance, as they battered at the Preston door for a continuous 30 minutes.
Credit to the 800+ visitors for supporting their team given the significant travel time across the country.
A safe trip back to them. You have a team to admire and be proud of. This is a mad division but I predict that Norwich will be in the top two positions, come May.
A North Ender.

Agree, Pukki is calm in front of goal and also it boosts his goal tally.

Maybe, bringing in Tettey instead of a constructive player, Maclean, upset the rythhm that was working well

Seeing a lot of scapegoating pointed towards Tettey, which seems a little unfair. I think most of it is frustration that we kind of went against our principals in playing two DM's, rather than, perhaps, opting for a more attacking option in McClean. I think the main issue is that McClean isn't a Vrancic or Leitner style playmaker, I think he is more of a 10, which means you would bring him in for Stiepermann.

On reflection, Preston deserved their win, I think a few players looked tired, and it was one of those games where there was just too many not on it. I only saw the second half, and to be fair, we absolutely threw the kitchen sink at them, and Declan Rudd being named man of the match tells you all you need to know really. Other results didn't go our way, so important we get back to winning ways on Saturday.

Our run had to come to an end sometime, I'm just glad it wasn't on Sunday. Tbf I'm not surprised some looked a bit tired, it's been a bit of a tough run of games lately imo.
