JHT on team news: “No concerns. Lungi (Sorensen) is still out. Brad Hills is also ill and not been with the team the last couple of days.”
On Josh Sargent... "I think it will be after Coventry. "If everything goes well, we can expect him to be part of training next week. "It will probably be from the bench to begin with"
Gabe Forsyth is ‘likely’ to play some minutes against Brighton.
JHT on Borja Sainz: “He knew before the QPR game, so I don’t think it’s a distraction. He’s struggling to find his rhythm at the moment and that he’s now one of our most important players.”
JHT on Borja Sainz FA incident: “No. We are aware that there will likely be a charge at some point"
JHT on Christian Fassnacht: “First of all, we had to take a decision with him at some point. Then unfortunately, for us and him, he wasn’t part of pre-season. It’s been difficult for him to be integrated in the squad. He wanted to accept the offer to go back."
JHT on RW search: “We need some more threat up front. We need someone who is good at running in behind and always be an option to go in behind. We look for different types of players to cover us.”
On the transfer window... "We are ready to react if something should happen with some of our players. "It's more important that we are patient and get the right fit for the club and for the team."
On JHT's window requirements... "We need a little bit more threat up front, probably different types of players, a player that is good at running in behind. "We have players who are good at dribbling and one v ones, so it's fair to say that we will look for different types of players to cover the positions up front."
JHT on QPR: “Yeah, I think it’s far to say we should have had that (a win). We didn’t really concede any chances. The positive angle is we are there to dominate the game and create the right game picture for us. In the future, it won’t be good enough for us to draw that game.”
JHT on set-pieces: “If we over do it, we create some tension around those situations. We need to look at where does it start, so how can we as a team avoid those moments. Lots of teams in the Championship’s favourite thing is corners or deep free-kicks.”
JHT on Luton Town: “They are even more aggressive and intense at home. I think it’s 21 points at home, so there’s a big difference (compared to away).”
On Callum Doyle... "I like Callum as centre-back, he gives us good options on the ball. "He is a threat for us with those passes in behind, then he is also calm on the ball. "He can obviously also play as a left-back, which gives us the opportunity to bring other players into the team; it's good for him and it's good for the team."
JHT on new year: “I’m very optimistic. The short term result tomorrow doesn’t affect that. Without saying that this season is development as it’s definitely not. If we can put in the right performances, then we can be in and around the play-offs.”
