Yeah all the sub forums really spread the traffic a bit thin. I'll maybe have a word with the site owner and see if he wants to thin a few of them out.

I always saw him as quite harmless and at times quite funny.

Apparently I'm a poor judge of character.

Suspect he'll struggle to find scampi in prison.

I was going to say if they don’t have an IT person who knows how to apply a patch then they really are in trouble, but it’s possible that the forum is part of a third party software deal and if they touch it, they invalidate the support agreement. In which case they are probably somewhere on their s/w vendor’s very long list.

One of the hazards of not taking care of things in-house. Just say no to the cloud and yes to your own open-source, kids!

(I had to add a comma at the end there otherwise I seemed to be recommending open-source kids, whatever they are.)

Edit: there’s something weird going on with emojis on here - this is supposed to be a shrug: ‍♂️.

I thought this was all we had, I'm on a PC and you click the little smiley face and you get that group of smilies. I have never seen that symbol you posted above!

Yeah I did find the message odd, I picked up on that too. That said, there are people on the forum that can be, how should we say, are a bit demanding and think they run the place, and the forum owners should acquiesce to their every demand.

Agreed. I can’t see how it’s a much of a money spinner for them. I am a Pink Un subscriber so I feel I contribute to keeping to going but it costs pennies with the occasional offers, I think it’s something like 35p a week. Don’t get much for that these days!

I don't want to keep blowing the Norwichtalk trumpet, but will anyway lol. This forum is completely free to use, and the software is clearly vastly superior. I think they hope that the pinkun forum will just naturally die.
