Not sure how I feel about that. I'd rather keep him as I think he has huge potential and showed yesterday what he can do in terms of crossing, but that's a lot of money and it could go a fair bit higher tomorrow with some panic buying.

Tough one, but I'd rather keep unless it was stupid money and we had plenty of cover.

I'd turn it down. 20 year old lad with a ton of potential, we put huge pressure on him, and you can see him coming on. Young English talent doesn't come cheap, but £9 million isn't enough for me, they'd need to offer upwards of £13 million before I'd even consider it.

Id be prepared to sell him for the right price. He has potential, but can a club like ours afford to carry potential? Bottom line is Redmond isnt as influential on the pitch as he should be. For the right deal I think he could easily leave and the team be no worse off for it. We would only want to keep him based on the idea he might be worth a lot more in the future, or he might become a superb player. Thats a lot of ifs. He may never develop beyond his current level, or he could become a superstar. But at the moment, he is hardly a major player for us. We all rate him so highly for his potential, not for his actual impact on games for us. If we got a great deal that made us feel like we hadnt allowed him to leave on the cheap Id be happy to let him go. But Id want at least 8 figures and some add-ons (sell on figure and additional fees when he gets capped for England - which will surely happen if he moves to a bigger club)

Time for Redders to move on irrespective of the price tag. He needs a club in which to develop his decision making skills & if Saints are willing to take him on, fair enough. We aren't in a position to carry him this season, perhaps if we had remained in the Prem but we need to win games regularly & he's not (yet) a match winner.

There's much hype about his potential but the fact remains that he rarely delivers on the pitch.

I don't understand this concept that we are carrying him? He commits defenders, he got a great assist yesterday and put in a couple of other really dangerous balls. There was a communication beakdown for the goal, but he's 19 and his decision making isn't as terrible as Norwich fans like to make out. We saw when Josh Murphy came on, he cut inside and fired one towards the upper tier as well, that happens. We're not carrying Redmond at all!

Seriously though, I think Adams and co deserve a chance to mature him. I've already noticed some changes, he's taking it to the line much more than he was under Hughton.

He's there to do a job and as you say, he does manage to commit defenders & his assist was classy. However, he has been the first to acknowledge that he hasn't performed well enough this season. I think we are carrying him at the moment & if he continues to disappoint then he will start to get stick from the idiot boo boys.

The thing about Redmond is that he's all "potential" but has never really shown us what he can do. If he were a fully developed player going through a drop in form, fair enough, but we've never seen him deliver in the first place.

I simply don't think that he will be suited for the slog in the Champs this season and may do much better in a team with mid-table aspirations. I think it would be best for club & player for him to move to Saints. If he goes, good luck to him, I hope he develops into a star player but I think we can do without him.

Sorry but this one of the strangest things I've ever heard. He's been a passenger? Murphy would have got us the win at Wolves and against Bournemouth? A game in with Redmond put in a top quality cross that led to the goal.

Norwich seem to make Redmond a scapegoat! Watch what you wish for.

The reality check for myself is that I use (have used) the same excuses most home games I've seen him - he's young, he's got potential, he'll hit form, but really he is the most consistent player to frustrate me. How many more times will I see him holding the front of his shirt over his face as the ball catching skills of fans in the upper Barclay/N&P are tested?

He's highly rated and the interest shows that, but he is over-rated going on his performances last season and this imo. One solitary league goal, was it against Southampton? Wow! Great ball in for the goal yesterday, but that is his job after all and we should expect that and more. Passing averages out as mediocre at best and decision making is much the same. Shooting is below mediocre....I refer back to only one goal.

I'd genuinely be happy if he stays (in the hope that he lights up a game somewhere in the future),but equally non-plussed if he goes. Murphy, Bennett and McGrandles (possibly) are all potential replacements. Grabbs might also be able to do a shift with Jerome or Hoops up top.

Ha, thank god! Saw it quickly and thought oh dear! My bad on not getting that but some people on Twitter are very serious about that.

Saw a rumour on another site that Newcastle are also interested in him. Plus any Saints deal would involve some youngster, Lloyd something, coming on a season loan. Made his saints debut a few days ago. Why would we take a raw youngster on loan? We need experienced performers to challenge for promotion. We have our own raw youngsters if we need them, not taking someone else's, thus relegating ours down the pecking order.

I would reject £9m personally. Whilst he hasn't had a great start to the season, he does have massive potential, and if we can keep hold of him I can see him being worth a lot more than £9m in a couple of years time. As we saw last season, on his day he is as good at beating a defender as anyone, and although it might take a while, I do think he will eventually get back into the form that we saw him in at times last season. Especially as he knows that we now have players that can easily step into his place (Murphy, Bennett, McGrandles).

Plus, with 1 day left of the transfer window, what are we going to do with that money? There's hardly enough time to replace him, and even if we are able to do so, are we really going to be able to get in someone as good as an in form Nathan Redmond for less than £9m and on similar wages? I don't think so.

Sky Sports are reporting that Southampton have made an £11.8m for Salzburg winger Saido Main. I know they have a lot of money but would they really be signing this guy and Redmond?

I think Southampton have been linked with every wide player in Europe since they confirmed they needed to strengthen that position.

Southampton have signed Pelle as a striker and he is a beast in the air, so it's bizarre that they haven't picked out a pacy winger who can fire in a good cross or two.  That said, I don't think Redmond is that player.  I haven't really seen any improvement in his game since he joined us and I would cash in for £9m and look to get a replacement in who has better decision making with his final ball.

If Redmond goes, Hatem Ben Arfa is available. Would be my choice to replace him.
