Wet Spam a bit underwhelmed if I am honest bearing in mind we will see them twice during the season anyway

It's because the first ever game at Carrow Road was against West Ham, and its the 80th anniversary of Carrow Road. So it makes sense. Plus its good for the club because they'll probably bring some fans, which = £££

It's usually around the end of June.
As for this as a friendly, my whole family are West Ham fans, so West Ham - Norwich is always a big event in my house, but none of us are particularly bothered by this. I get that it's the 80th anniversary and all that, so fair enough, but I don't think I'll be going.

Slightly different to the glamorous USA Tour 2 years ago.. It's slightly worrying that (so far) we only have 1 game against a team higher than League 2, as West Ham will not be playing a proper team. I'd be very surprised if some bigger European teams aren't added soon

A bit underwhelming so far. I remember a couple of seasons back when we played Borussia Monchengladbach and Ajax in our 2 home friendlies, but this year so far we have West Ham, a team in the same division as us, who are likely to field their reserves as they have a Europa League game at around the same time, and Brentford, a team in the division below us. A bit odd really to play them at home.
As said above, it would be surprising if one or two European opponents weren't added. To be fair on the club website it does say part of the pre-season schedule, so I imagine there will be another announcement soon enough.
