Gary Hooper to Reading?

I suspect this is a load of rubbish, but 'Sports Mole' are reporting that Reading are offering to loan Gary Hooper for the season:

Nigel Adkins was his manager at Reading. Wasn't there some crackpot theory about Hooper's injury being faked?

Loaning him to a rival club sounds like a brilliant idea.

This makes no sense to me at all. Why would we do it? Why would Hooper want to go to Reading?

Yeah I can't see this one being true. Not sure why we would loan him to a rival club , also that would be a step down for him. There are no great midfielders at Reading are there? Where we could have a Man United type deal in place, we get to sign so and so and you get this fee and Hooper on loan for the season etc
