Genuine question

We've had massive incomings this season, players, coaching staff etc..My question....What happens with all the living arrangements? do people have to house hunt while trying to fit in training and matches? are families split up from town to town, and transporting themselves back and forth? are loads of staff leading single lives in hotels?...Difficult and I don't have a clue how it all fits together

Dont they tend to stay at Sprowston Manor, I'd assume until they rent someplace?

Well, a lot of them have rentals sorted by the club. My business partner has a property portfolio and a lot of them are apartments down riverside; the club have regularly used these to house players in - for example Vadis moved out of one and then Maddison took it over. I presume clubs have lots of other landlords offering similar nice apartments.

I did comment to my mate Wednesday night that it looks like DF quickly packed an overnight bag, came over for his interview and hasn't gone home to get the rest of his clothes yet. My mate did then say that it could be he has a wardrobe full of black shirts, trousers and nothing else.

I get the impression that all the married lads, including staff have left their families at home for now. Farke has had one afternoon off and went to Cromer with his assistant. Presumably when they find somewhere of their own they will then move them over. This is the side of being in football that actually isn't very glamourous and must be quite a difficult decision depending on the age of your kids etc.

We've had players living at Riverside ever since the first bit was built. Darel Russell had one of the houses near the Wetherspoons... so people would literally walk past the house on the way to the ground.

Chris Martin lived down Riverside too, and Kenton I think. 

If some of these are housed by the club then it would make more sense to home them near Colney where they go 4/5 times a week rather than near the ground where they go about once every two weeks... but hey ho!

Perfectly feasible, Mark Zuckerberg has a wardrobe full of the same plain grey t-shirt which he wears everyday, because picking out a t-shirt is a waste of time and energy.

What I do know is that there is someone who's job is to look after the new players on arrival and to settle, well ther was anyway, as I met him briefly a couple of years back as he was an old friend of my mate, we were treating ourselves to The Huckerby Lounge that day, recommended by the way for soemthing different if you can afford it.

As for DF, I think he really looks out of place on the touch line when compared to how we see other Managers/Coaches in our top leagues, but nothing wrong with that or being individual.......I can though see him making some changes as he settles more in to a style......probably a little more like the German national team Coach Joachim Low, either sporting a black jumper under a jacket, or on a hot day have the jumper casually tied round the shoulders.......sehr gut ja  .....sicher .....Auf der ball stadt !

Many thanks for replies people. Reminds me of military days, many years ago, but with many more pennnies
