If Vardy and/or Mahrez leave Leicester in January....

I think that would make a mockery of the industry that football has become and turn a lot of people off the sport.

I just really really hope that they stay until the summer and have a go at winning the league first.

It would basically show this sport up for what it is, which is just a bunch of people trying to make as much money as possible, rather than being in it for the sporting achievements.

Don't get me wrong, I could completely understand why Vardy would want his big pay day after years in non-league, but if he ranks that as priority number 1 over having a crack at winning the Premier League this year, then I'd have to question just what football had become.

If those two stay in January I should think the whole country will be cheering them on this year in their title challenge.

If either of them leaves then I wonder whether this actually presents a compelling argument for just scrapping the January window entirely and enforcing a rule that what you have come 1st September is what you have to work with until May.

I too think it would be a huge shame if they did and the romantic in me wants them to carry on their form;   would be so funny for arsenal to finally finish ahead of citeh, utd, chelski, pool etc and STILL not win the title..

; But sadly all players have their price whichever club is involved - if a figure of £30m is made by a desperate club it would be difficult to reject.
