I just think that we'll look back in 20 years (or much much sooner) and find that permanent fixture embarrassing. It becomes redundant the moment that we get relegated again. If it was an FA Cup win I'd feel much differently. We shouldn't have been in the position where promotion was necessary in the first place.
There are classier things we could do with that wall space. How about offering memorial bricks, people purchasing a permanent plaque on a brick for loved ones who have departed? (an alternative to ashes being sprinkled on the pitch, which most clubs no longer permit due to pitches being half synthetic now and dug up and replaced regularly).
Or how about a feature which commemorates a club legend with a mosaic, with no random peoples names on it, funded by fans with profits going to a charity - just a single brass plaque saying "funded by fans to celebrate promotion 2014/2015, profits benefiting Cancer Research". To keep it on topic the mosaic could be of Bradley Johnson, player of that season, or Wes Hoolahan - widely considered the closest thing we have to a legend on the pitch at the moment (and three times promoted with us).
The fans have always dug deep when the club has been in trouble or needed a helping hand, and stuck by the club in difficult times despite relatively high ticket prices, and we've just won a £120m ticket to the richest league in the world, aren't the club pushing it a little with the goodwill thing?
And yes it was our first appearance at Wembley in 30 years, and it was nice that it fell on the anniversary year, but surely automatic promotion in 2011 and winning that division in 2004 were greater achievements, and yet did not get recognised with a permanent commemoration. We are a club which is big enough not to look out of place in the Premier League, we are probably one of those clubs which by size should be expected to float around the lower half of the Prem and top of the Championship, so we haven't done anything special or exceeded expectations here.
Now if Bournemouth want to permanently commemorate the time that they won promotion to the Premier League, their first ever promotion to the top tier of English football, then that would make far more sense as that's a huge achievement for them.
This is our 6th promotion to the top tier. Its the third one in 11 years.

I have no issue with the club trying to Increase revenue
The issue I have, is that this looks really tacky. It will be on display, on the wall of one of our stands, not hidden away inside the club shop.
By all means have a picture/muriel marking the event, but to surround it by tacky personalised bricks like this makes it seem like it's the greatest thing we've ever achieved.

If Ipswich Town had one of these at Portman Road to commemorate their play-off win in 2004/2005 we'd quite rightly have spent the best part of the last decade taking the p*ss out of it, especially when they mention the European Cup. That's my issue with it.

Personally my own view, I think that someone at the club is getting hard pressed to try and lever more more money out of it's very loyal following that they are starting to get the near the bottom of the barrel. I agree that it is down to choice of the individual whether to take up the option or not, thats fine you are getting a choice.
But the whole idea is pathetic in my view.. had we won the league, won either of the cups yes ..but a play off final jeez
On the whole as a club we do not have that much silverware to boost about, so we tend to get offered an anniversary of something that was done years ago, the Euro run, etc or some other event that many clubs would have forgotten about.
The marketing Dept at the club know only too well that there will taker uppers of whatever they can come up with, such is the passion and loyalty of the supporters of this wonderful club ... We can all support our club but we do not all have to agree with everything they do.
I simply think that the fans have paid more than enough just to get their bum on a piece of plastic, shirts and other memrobelia, without the need for this latest little scheme.

Now for some reason, no...because of my yellow and green tinted specs, I tend to be a bit of a percy positive nodding dog when it comes to anything coming out of Carrow Road...even to the point of embarrassing myself......it even took until that pass to the invisible player for me to acknowledge the "the Wolf" was carp......and going back in time I even gave Jim Blair a chance (not so many on here will remember him)................BUT........just what the fcuk were they thinking? that's all I have to say......

To be honest if I had the money, I think I'd just buy all 1000 places and be pulling a different face in each picture

It's all about personal preferences really, and there will be people who love the idea of it and will happily pay £100 to have their photo on there, and good luck to them, but it's not for me at all, and the club really seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel here.
I agree with CB really, all we did was finish 3rd in England's second division, and then go on to win a couple of play-off games. Don't get me wrong it was a wonderful day and a wonderful occasion, but there have been bigger successes in our history than this, and yet we didn't commemorate those events by sticking some weird photo album to a wall.
Guaranteed there will be at least 1 sad Ipswich fan who is prepared to give up £100 of his money in an attempt to 'ruin' the picture by wearing an Ipswich shirt or something.

Din, I don't think you get to put your photo up there. What you are buying is 20% of a ceramic tile on which your name goes, providing it is no longer than 22 characters - ok for most even the Wolf (just) if he wants to participate. But certainly not enough characters to add any form of message.
The photo is of the image on the wall which you get as a part of your personal memento. You do get another 22 characters on your personal memento in which you could add a message to - well yourself. All given to you in a special presentation box. And for completeness I should add that you also get a certificate of authenticity.

But you're right, it does get worse the more detail you go into. It just smacks of desperation from the club, and it's still a really tacky idea to me. £99 as well

Seems expensive for all that but if that's what they want to charge then so be it. If they think they can sell that many bricks for £99 then let them do it. I won't be buying one for that price though.
