Leroy Fer

Sevilla are hoping to succeed with a second bid to sign QPR midfielder Leroy Fer.

The back-to-back Europa League winners tried to buy Fer a year ago from Norwich, but lost out when QPR offered £8million.

Rangers are facing a struggle to keep hold of the 25-year-old midfielder, who was one of the few to impress as they suffered relegation in May.

Sevilla will not meet QPR’s £8m valuation and are facing competition from Sunderland. But that won’t stop them from making an offer in the hope Fer will want to play Champions League football with them next season.

Hmmm, if they seriously want him he wont want to pass up the opportunity of Champions League football. Doubt QPR would be willing to lose money on him. Could see him going to Sunderland, they have a history of overpaying for players.

We could get Fer at a knock down price though because Im sure we have a sell-on fee negotiated. They'll be taking that into consideration, so effectively we could offer a lower amount than their asking price and they wouldnt lose out. Small windfall for us if he moves on. Is it a profit-only sell-on or a proportion of any fee does anyone know?

Fer has apparently just failed a medical at Sunderland.
