Took my Dad to watch the EFL Cup game in 2016 against Coventry......think we won 6-1.

Remember that Louis Thompson played that night, and I thought was outstanding (admittedly against a poor Cov side) but he injured his ankle I think and was then sidelined for ages...........has he played since?

I remember my Dad and I ( by this time we had drank a little more than necessary) both thinking nothing of removing our shoes and waving them at  the big screen when it turned to face us in the Barclay. Along with a couple of thousand other fruitloops.

Thompson has been brilliant every time I've seen him. Both EFL Cup games I saw against Coventry and Leeds he was probably our best player, and when he got an opportunity in the league vs Leeds he was also fantastic. Been out injured since then however and it's unclear how he'll be when he comes back presumably at the start of this coming season.

Would like to see him given a chance however it's a bit of a risk perhaps to assume is good enough to play regularly seeing how serious his injury was.

Should have signed his brother on a free transfer, he has just joined Portsmouth. Seen him play a couple of times and reckon he could step up a league. 

Portsmouth probably pay good wages in fairness with their attendances. Kyle Bennett (brother of Elliott) and Kai Naismith (not brother of Steven) are very talented players too, might make a little bet on Portsmouth going up again.

hope Louis has recovered well, and that we get to see him in a first-team shirt in the league this season. Ready-made replacement for Tettey potentially.
