While I consider Pritch to have the best football brain at the club I do think he can be a bit lightweight and ineffective at times. 

You would think they need to make a couple of good signings off the back of this so the players and the fans keep the faith.

Disheartening that. Feels like we've only just got him back from injury, are starting to hit some good form and now all that has gone out the window. 

Need to sign a replacement before January ends, and I expect us to dip into that money for one. I'm not expecting us to spend much considering our situation but we cannot be relying on Maddison as our sole creative outlet going into the 2nd half of the season (assuming he doesn't leave this month as well). 

Can't blame Pritchard for wanting the move, he's too good for the Championship. But a real shame. Wonder how much say Farke had in this decision.

All part of the bigger plan, the team was / is quite unbalanced. We could do with a wide right player, and definitely a new striker. Hopefully this sale means we will get them, if we don't then people have every right to be a bit peeved. I think we'll have Maddison until the summer.

That is true. I remember saying when we were linked with that Onel Hernandez that I imagine he'll be a Maddison replacement and that Pritchard will move into the middle. Obviously it's the other way around, but if we can get a dangerous player like he is supposed to be in then it won't be the end of the world. It is disheartening though, feeling like we've turned a corner a bit only for us to then sell our best player.

I get what youre saying Din, but Hernandez is plying his trade in Bundesliga 2.

I get the feeling him compared to Pritchard is going to make us significantly weaker.

Depressing to be honest, we've just sold our best player. 

Whether £12m was a good price or not probably depends on what his ankle ligaments look like through a keyhole camera I suppose. 

Now lets use the money to bring in a couple of players, and use any surplus to rid ourselves of some deadwood. 

Use some of it to sign Morsy and then let Tettey leave early, and have a go at seeing if Jarvis would take a lump sum to call it a day.
