Got to say that Manchester is a good place for a trip away. Plenty to choose from and not home counties prices. But maybe not for football at the moment. They are dire and we are hapless.

6-6 draw then.

The centre of manchester always has a good feel,  always enjoy a visit.

Mind you that is rarely football related,   last 5 visits have all seen a home win with an aggregate score of 16-1.    Make the most of the bratwurst and gluhwein...

Are ManU seen as the evil ones anymore? You certainly don't hear from their "supporters" much any more (that's a relief down here in Cornwall) and the media only really uses them to hammer VG.

I think probably Liverpool have as many if not more detractors.

Still want to heap misery on them though.

I guess it will be fun in the pub over here listening to the accents of the Manchester United supporters.............Filipino, Arabic, Cockney etc. Sure a global brand, but then when you check out the Norwich City fans.......Norwich,  Norfolk,  the yellow side of Suffolk........love that, and just another reason why I love supporting our great club! Hopefully Santa will bring us all an early Crimbo present.

Looks like Rodney may will be in their squad tomorrow. Don't know if he has a decent record against us or not.

I shall do what I always do in situations like this, against teams like Man Utd.

Slowly and methodically analyse the game, looking at current form etc, eventually convincing myself that we have a genuine chance.

Then we'll get gubbed.

Gutted to see Smalling and Rooney likely to be back. Without Smalling in their defence i'd have been much happier.

We have a habit of playing well against the big teams but switching off for one moment in a game and getting punished. Man United are hardly in great form, however they typically have Smalling, Rooney and Herrera all coming back from injury for this one. For us Wisdom is injured and Jarvis still isn't ready to return.

Team I'd play:

Rudd
Martin Bennett Bassong Olsson
Redmond Dorrans Tettey Mulumbu Brady
Mbokani
Subs: Ruddy, Whittaker, Howson, O'Neil, Odjidja, Hoolahan, Jerome.

That's what I'd go with, however I doubt we'll see it. Hopefully at the very least Mbokani and Mulumbu will come in, that said it wouldn't surprise me to see Hoolahan playing this one seeing how weak United's defence looks on paper. I imagine Grabban will also make the bench ahead of Odjidja.

Gonna say 2-0 United. I'd take a point here and a win would be incredible. If we play how we did against Man.City and Arsenal then I think we could nick something if United don't turn up.

SSN building this right up.

Rooney's 500th appearance, needs to score one more goal to overtake Andy Cole in Premier all time scoring stakes.

Van Gaal under pressure, lose today and could be his job?

Are Norwich the team to reignite Man U's season?

Lol, no pressure Norwich.

Getting excited. When I was a kid, Manchester United, as they were known then, was the team we aspired to play. They were the team.

Now, their recent record is worse than ours.

Come Alex. Come on boys. Bull by the horns and put on a show today. No fear. Show all the Cockneys and Irish at the game that we can play.
