It does amuse me that sometimes (particularly when a team isn't on a great run) a manager/coach will make changes and justify/explain it as picking a team based on the opposition etc.
But when you're on a winning run that "logic" can go out the window and you no longer need to consider the opposition.
And that's not a Farke specific comment, just a general football thing.
Throwing shit against the wall and seeing what sticks has always been a big part of football though hasn't it..... Farke threw some shit at the wall and it stuck. Now a couple of bits have fallen off he'll throw some other bits at it and sees what happens.
I personally find it quite exciting that we've coped without Hernandez despite him being quite clearly the player opposition full backs would least like to be up against, plus we've got McLean to come in to probably replace a kid who frankly looks very promising and has done very well but probably isn't quite ready to punish teams on the regular.
We know that Ben Marshall is a good Championship player and Rhodes and Vrancic look hungry... Trybull had some very good spells last season and will hopefully replicate.
Its quite exciting really to think that we've probably not actually found our strongest XI yet, and hopefully by the time a few others have stated their case we'll see Farke trust the squad a bit more. We've got good depth in most positions, almost two decent players for every spot.
