I'd imagine so. A good start is imperative. I have a horrible feeling the crowd will turn ugly if we lose this one.

A must-win game ?  Is it more important than that ?   Or does it not matter because we are already doomed ?

Being serious, we're now in deep trouble, but a win tomorrow and there's a real chance to turn it around.  Fail to win though and the chance of staying up looks pretty bleak.

I want us to actually settle on a line up (especially a back four) and stop playing central players on the wing. Even if we don't win tomorrow, I feel like that's the way to turn this around. The trouble is, that should have happened ages ago and I worry we're already too deep in the *bleep*.

Tettey is out suspended & Gary O Neill is out.

Why O'Neil is out? Official report said only Tettey and Wisdom will miss the game surely and Dorrans is in doubt because of his illness.

Anyway I would go for this game with a line up where everyone plays at their best possible position

So if it is 4-4-2 Redmond and Brady on wings and Howson middle. If 4-2-3-1 Hoolahan in the 10 role and Howson on the bench.

I really don't care at the moment about anything else than getting solid display from players and if AN goes again for ridiculous formation lottery I doubt we will get one.

If AN is reading.

Here is your availeable team's best positions

ST/SS: Mbokani, Naismith, Jerome, Bamford

LM/LW - Brady,

RM/RW - Redmond

CAM - Hoolahan,

CM - Howson, Dorrans

DM - Mulumbu, O'Neil

LB - Olsson

RB - Pinto, Whittaker

CB - Klose, Bassong, Bennett, Martin (yes he is bwtter CB than RB, not just good enough)

GK - Ruddy, Rudd

Also formations most players are familiar from previous managers:

4-4-2(with secondary striker or diamond),

4-2-3-1 (wide version)

I hope you go and first pick formation from three availeable and then pick players in the slots by their position. Then just play your game and see if we can fetch result.

O Neil acknowledged Moose's tweet saying he had missed training this week due to illness and a family event.

**Gary might have been double bluffing

**he could have just ignored the tweet.

We seem to specialise in breaking the bad runs of our opponents so it wouldn't surprise me if Payet got a hat trick and two assists.

It's a bit worrying how there is talk of changing the system again, going back to how we played at start of season.

History shows what happened

I don't get this sudden hostility to 'tinkering'. Wasn't one of the objections to Hughton that he played the same old boring, predictable and ineffective way every week? Lambert on the other hand rotated his squad and played with different systems. There's no problem with changing just as long as you fill the positions with the right players. No more wingers playing full back and central midfielders on the wing.

In that system Nathan Redmond was tearing people apart and we were talking about him being a £30m player, Brady was quality too. In fact, both of them scored against West Ham earlier in the season.

I personally don't understand why we have stopped playing wingers.

Would be typical of us to lose 5 in a row and then go and beat a team in good form. West Ham played 120 minutes in the week in the cup against Liverpool, which may have us some slim hope, however with our defence the way it is, it's hard not to see the likes of Payet, Valencia and Antonio exploiting it, particularly with Tettey still suspended.

Team:

Ruddy
Pinto Klose Bennett Olsson
Redmond Howson O'Neil Brady
Naismith
Jerome

That's the team I'd play, although I doubt we'll see it. Although I think Neil will bring Ruddy back in, as Rudd has had a few poor games in a row now. Bassong will start as well, as will likely Martin. I like Mbokani but I think he's better used as an impact player, and Jerome undoubtedly offers us more movement and energy. I also much prefer Brady in midfield, but I imagine he'll be at left back with Olsson on the bench. Someone needs to give Redmond a kick up the arse as well. Probably our best player on his day but he hasn't performed in months.

Gonna say 3-1 West Ham. Hard to see us winning with our form the way it is. With games against Leicester and Chelsea after this though we really need to be getting something so that we're not cut off from the teams above us.

Quite like the look of that team tbf. I'd sooner have Pinto than Martin but apart from that no real complaints. Good to see Ruddy and Jerome both back. We certainly don't lack creativity or energy in that front 4.

Well it is step for the right direction. Still Brady as LB and Hoolahan as winger as I doubt AN put's Naismith in the wing.

Anyway good to see Jerome starting as he and Naismith can keep their pressured with their movement. Just a bit afraid that our team will suffer again from weak defending with Howson in defensive role as Redmond and Hoolahan don't offer much cover in 4-4-1-1 formation and Martin+Brady+Bassong alltogether making our back four ready to give those free goals.

Hopefully we see old good big John ruling the air that Brady don't have to defend too many crosses and Martin's pace at RB position won't make us pay.
