Same again or will he tinker? Wes to start?

Slightly more open and entertaining, or we happy just grinding it out?

Wes for Maddison is the only change i'd like to see.

However you could understand if Tettey needs resting and Reed comes in.

No need to change anything else (injuries / fitness permitting, of course)

Aye sounds like Tettey will be rested, and maybe a switch to 4-1-4-1.

I'll take 3 points, don't really care how we get 'em.

Think we'll make a few changes to be fair, I imagine it'll be something like this:

Gunn
Pinto Zimmermann Klose Husband
Reed
Hoolahan Maddison Trybull Murphy
Oliveira
Subs: McGovern, Hanley, Steipermann, Vrancic, Naismith, Wildschut, Jerome
Wes, Reed and Husband all coming back in. Wouldn't surprise me if Maddison or Trybull are benched, or even Murphy as he looked shattered towards the end of the Birmingham game.

The Championship isn't a league where you can go into a game and say "there's no way we should not be winning this one", however if there is a game like that then it's this. Burton have arguably the weakest side in the division, and have started poorly. At home we really should be winning this. A good 3-0 win or something would be fantastic, but as long as we get the 3 points I don't really care.

I have decided to give up on team selection or comments on it, since the weekend, as when I saw the team I just didnt get it and was seriously concerned, convvinced we wouldnt win. That said, I hadnt accounted for how bad Brum were on the day, and in fairness the team shape did certainly work. That said, Id love to see Hoolahan start!

I like it, Maddison was quiet at the weekend, the defence kept a clean sheet and deserves to go again, hopefully another 3 points and a clean sheet

Yep, so do I, glad there has been a minimum of tinkering.

Managed to get an iFollow stream again, this time paying 6 euros for a 'match pass', it showed that I had a 'free account'.

But pretty sure I signed up to a monthly UK account the other day, and then logged in with a VPN and got the stream.

But whatever, 6 euros is about a fiver.... worth paying for a decent stream with no annoying popups and redirects and random take downs of the streams just before a goal etc.

Off to Brammall Lane on Saturday.

I don't know why the Football League doesn't just roll this out for all midweek games to UK customers to be honest, nobody expects exiles to make Tuesday night games at Carrow Road do they and away followings tend to be very small in midweek games.... obviously understand why they can't roll out for Saturday 3pm games, would dent attendances.

Pretty sure Opera shows that every VPN user is situated in Canada, so will be funny to see how many teams start claiming a huge Canadian fan base and booking pre-season friendlies with Toronto FC

Well that was a bit depressing.

Understand Farke wanting to try and settle the squad a bit / find a best XI, but two defensive midfielders at home to Burton Albion in hindsight may not have been the greatest idea and he seems a little bit slow to make substitutions, made the right subs but far too late.

Took Farke too long to make the changes. Not adventurous enough.

Vrancic takes it too easy. Wildschut needed to be on sooner if not starting.

Stiepermann was tremendous.

Wildschut should of come on at half time, we really needed someone to run at them on the wings, both Josh and Wes just wanted to constantly bring it inside, and in doing so got met by 11 burton shirts, also feel the likes of a Naismith would of been useful tonight, needed someone with a bit of urgency in getting the ball forward and having a go, disappointing to say the least

Agree regarding Wildschut, but haven't got any appetite to see Naismith again.

Basically Burton parked the bus today didn't they, and made us look a bit silly for having two defensive midfielders on the pitch, we just always looked a man short in the final third.

Oliviera didn't exactly have his shooting boots on did he, one of his shorter range efforts today was atrocious.

Josh offers more 'all round' than Jacob and is less of a wimp, but Jacob has a better end product, need to work on Josh's decision making a bit.

Wildschut's biggest asset is his ability to beat defenders. When you're playing against a compact, deep defence you want players who can go past people in tight situations. It was clear as early as the first half that it would have been a game suited to him and, in truth, it was probably clear before kick-off Burton would play as they did.

It's the kind of game that Farke simply has to learn from and learn fast.

At the moment we are really not a very good team. Individually I thought most played ok. Poorish first halves for Wes, Murphy, Zimmerman but I thought all had better second halves. But we lacked incisive moves, good final balls and finishing. Best chance fell to Murphy who hammered it at goalie when cool headed placement would have scored. I agree we could set up a bit more ambitiously at home. And hopefully we will gradually improve. Can't see it happening overnight though.

We've played and struggled against teams who park the bus, it will happen. The worrying thing is that plan b has not been developed, if it's not working after 20 mins then it needs changing not waiting til there's ten minutes left.

I'm trying to be patient, and usually am more patient than most, but we should be better than what was dished up last night. The biggest thing I really didnt like, was the apparent lack "of passion, I didnt see much energy when closing down or effort made to get bodies in the box when we attacked.......and omg what is all that "from me to you, back to you, back to me" sideways fannying about our defence keeps doing?
