As usual with Derbies, I've got a bad feeling about it. They're due one, it's been nearly ten years or something daft.

If I had to be marooned on a desert island, that video would be my luxury item. Can't get enough of the reactions of Goreham and Adams for the 5-1 game, particularly the last goal.

Would give anything to embarrass them like that again tomorrow!

Wow, what a finish ! Didn’t play well first half, I don’t think we adapted to their in your face aggressive hard work and hoofball. Second half a lot better, feels like win for us , must be quite upsetting for them :)

Phew, just about got away with that. An Ipswich win there would have been monumentally undeserved.

No idea how McCarthy can claim to be delighted with that performance. Sure, they were decent in their own special way in the first half but just embarrassingly negative in the second; more interested in committing fouls than winning a match. As bad as they were, we still struggle to create clear chances. As Mashiter rightly said on twitter: our approach still too passive - either trying to score the perfect goal or relying on a Maddison worldie.

It's frustrating that more and more often now, we're coming away from matches thinking 'we should've won that' or 'we should've scored more'. It's these issues that leave us in mid-table stuck alongside Ipswich rather than competing for a playoff place, but it's progress in of itself that we are hard to beat and becoming notorious for scoring late goals.

That said, it's probably not worth analysing a derby too much, given the nature of the match. I was obviously delighted (and very relieved) at f/t but now I'm a little concerned at what was overall quite a disappointing performance.

Oh well. Ipswich STILL can't beat us, and Timmy Klose's boat conquers the choppy waters and sails on!

Thank God for that Klose goal. Couldn't have stood for a bin win. Their little glum faces as victory was snatched away were priceless, the draw was worth that alone. Obviously would have preferred a win, but at least we didn't lose. OTBC.

Don't think I've quite celebrated a goal to give us a point quite like that! Yeah the performance wasn't good at all and we didn't come away the result we wanted but f*cking hell that ending was incredible.

We are literally trolling Ipswich at this point :D I bet they were so certain they were finally going to break our decade-long hold over them and to be fair so was I, so to nick the point at the death like that was fantastic. Even when we don't play well or win the game we are still humiliating them! It was so satisfying giving it large to them at the end. Mick McCarthy telling them to f*ck off as well pahaha. Always sh*t on the old blue and white!

As for the actual game, first half we were absolutely shocking. 2nd was better but even then we were never in control of the game. Have to say it's not hard to see why attendances for their games are dropping (whilst ours today was the biggest I've ever seen it I think?),their football is horrible and they've bought players specifically for that style. 1st half today it worked but it's such a limited way of playing that they'll never be more than a mid-table side. They didn't deserve their lead but at that point I was thinking it was our punishment for being as poor as we were. You play to the whistle though, and I'm sure there are a few players who wouldn't have chased that ball in the 95th minute when it looked for certain like it was going out, but Grant Hanley of all people did, and because of that we went on to equalise. That's exactly the sort of attitude I want to see from my team. Great header by Klose, who didn't have a good game at all but I'll let him off :D

Man of the match for me probably was Grant Hanley, and the assist for the goal was just the cherry on top of a great performance. They couldn't deal with Maddison at all 2nd half, and he was unlucky with a couple of great free-kicks. Jamal Lewis was excellent as well. The rest.... meh.

Farke should've made substitutions a lot earlier. For me Pinto should've been gone on for Reed somewhere between the 60th and 70th minute. I'd also have had Hernandez on for Murphy a lot sooner as well. Waiting for the last 5 minutes to make the first change, and then only making the other 2 after we'd gone a goal down is something Farke would've got rightly slated for had we not stolen a point.

If you look at this game as if it isn't a derby it's a pretty poor result. At home to a poor side where a win would've taken us above them, but in the context of the game I'll definitely take a point. It's another point, a moment that'll live long in the memory, and Ipswich still haven't beaten us!

They did us a favour by taking Garner off, thanks Mick :)
