Didn't see all the presser stuff earlier other than its too soon for Lewis, Buendia is in Spain as his wife is giving birth, and Farke said there was likely to be changes.

Stevenage got 3 big lads up front apparently.
I fear the worst

Hopefully give Godfrey and Thompson a chance to impress.

I'd go with the following

McGovern

Pinto Zimmermann Hanley Steipermann

Godfrey Thompson

Hernandez Cantwell Marshall

Srbeny
ideally you want to rest Onel, but the way he's playing at the minute and the lack of options out wide I'd play him anyway

Yeah we should be looking to give a few others a try. Shame Buendia isn't available as this would be a good opportunity to give him a try.

For me:

Krul
Passlack Klose Zimmermann Aarons
Thompson Godfrey
Marshall Cantwell Stiepermann
Srbeny
Real opportunity here for quite a few players, Godfrey and Thompson in particular. Looking forward to seeing how we get on.

I thought that was what pre-season was for? Or is Stevenage the real benchmark?

Well we'll be up against a team who have a huge amount to gain if they beat us.... so its a competitive fixture.

I hope the players give Stevenage more respect than that to be honest!

Can't remember Lincoln getting to the quarter final of the FA Cup last season?

Enjoyed that, apart from the bit where I put a wee bet on 4-1, but hey-ho!

Liked the look of Max Aarons, I thought Cantwell played well, always wanted the ball, but looked better when Onel came on and Todd moved a bit more central. Godfrey assured, I thought Louis Thompson was excellent, full of energy and played with no fear. Biggest story was the subs though, Maclean looked classy and direct when he came on, Onel is a man who really makes things happen, and I really like the look of Pukki, he looks a really intelligent player.

Hopefully a few things to think about for Farke.

Was a game we made tough for ourselves rather than Stevenage causing us problems, we were well in control for most of the first half, but then conceded from an avoidable free kick, good finish though

Second half we didn't seem to have any urgency in our play, until the subs were made, Onel to the rescue again, Pukki also looked good again, his linkup play is excellent and is always keen and on the move looking for space, in the end we went through with a comfortable enough scoreline but still some lessons to be learnt from tonight,

McGovern it turns out isn't the anti-christ of goalkeeping like the internet has been trying to convince me he is for the past two years, Godfrey and Thompson did well, Passlack looked confident though he'll need to tone down his arguing with refs and linesman or is going to get more yellow cards as the season goes on, Srbeny did ok, should of got on the scoresheet, but he's certainly improved from last season, Aarons looked decent enough and is quite well built for a full back

was a bit confused with the formation with Steipermann playing through the middle and Cantwell and Leitner out wide, would surely of made more sense for Steips to be out wide with one of the other two through the middle

Overall though an enjoyable evenings football and through to the next, I do worry about us though if Onel gets a long term injury as he is clearly our most creative player right now

- does anyone know when the draw for the next round is, based on last seasons fiasco I presume it's at 4.25am on friday morning live from Madagascar

Cardiff away in the next round, that'll be a great journey on a Tuesday night, I imagine we'll take 7 or 8 thousand tickets for that one, how is that a localised draw? 276 miles each way according to aa route planner

I’m wondering if the club might subsidise the coach travel for this to encourage a few to go

Farke has said it's the worst possible draw, he's gonna play kids and throw it away

can't say I'd blame him, it's a few days before the Ipswich game, so certainly not worth risking any injuries at all
