I wonder if this will even go ahead, I guess we'll find out today. A postponement would actually do us a favour, give us some more time to get a few injured players back.
I think a short break would be sensible, for the fans and the players. I don't think they will go back to BCD, I don't think anyone wants to impose any restrictions that have financial implications, in general, not just in football.Been listening to this on the radio this morning.
Could see behind closed doors happening again.
Probably for the best ... I think there'll be some kind of lockdown in the New Year ... all very worrying ... I've had my 3 jabs and still feel the necessity to be cautious ... wish some of my our fellow tin foil hat wearing citizens felt the same.
Twitter is full of it Bob. People are citing data from South Africa, which isn't entirely valid to our setting. Differing population ages, climate, social structure and population density mean you can't just copy and paste their data, we need to formulate our own. And if that means we go a bit over the top, just in case, then that is fine by me.I'd like to know who's doing all the crowing. Personally I don't believe it's harmless, at least not too a hell of a lot of the population. Perfectly obvious that LFT tests weren't done correctly (difficult to hit the tonsils when alone) which is why there are tens of thousands of new cases every day. New LFTs (up the nose jobs much easier),so now we have a shortage of kits and slots for boosters and bloody great queues everywhere for boosters.
Sorry to here you've cancelled Xmas, if you're now stuck with bottles of single malt & red wine, I feel it's my civic duty to offer to relieve you of your burden.I've had to go to NNUH for outpatient appointments this week and I have heard a lot of people (not staff) moaning about face masks, jabs and all manner of Covid related issues. With nearly all of them it was about 'me, me, me' without a thought for anyone else's situation. We've cancelled Xmas family get togethers this year. Me, my wife and my teenage son have all had our jabs as have my brother and his wife, but we still feel it best not to travel to each other's homes 'just in case', 'cos when you are out 'n' about you never know who you've been in contact with and if they are carriers.
Everyone has to do what is best for them, I have had Covid, and am jabbed and boosted, so personally don't really care, but as I said above, I may end up ruining other's Christmas.I've had to go to NNUH for outpatient appointments this week and I have heard a lot of people (not staff) moaning about face masks, jabs and all manner of Covid related issues. We are a wine free zone. My wife is a single malt fan. I went to see a friend in Scotland a few weeks ago and brought her back a bottle from Glamis Castle (the Queen Mum's family gaff) .... 'very nice' (she says) .... ought to be, it cost me 70 quid. I am a beer and cider man ... she got me an Advent Beer Calendar ... a beer a day till Xmas. After that it's the Aspalls for me. Pigs in blankets are all mine .... hands off.Sorry to here you've cancelled Xmas, if you're now stuck with bottles of single malt & red wine, I feel it's my civic duty to offer to relieve you of your burden.
Oh, any pigs in blankets?
Just to be clear, does that include children with diseases who's parents refused to vaccinate them?Like flu season waves of this will be normal moving through the population
Everyone has the opportunity to be vaccinated it’s now time for life to return to normal and if the the unvaccinated get unwell so be it
The health service should be limited to just giving them palliative care at most
