A must win game really with how the last couple of games have gone I'd say (Cup included). Blackpool have only scored 3 league goals so far this season, so if there has ever been a chance for our defence to keep a clean sheet and regain some form/confidence, now is the time.

I'd like to say we'll take this one 2-0, but if I'm honest I can't really see a clean sheet on the horizon so will say 2-1 and hope and pray we score first!

I guess the team will be the same starting 11 as Birmingham after the no-show of the cup squad!

Yeah, I don't think anyone really staked a claim for a place. Perhaps Howson, though not sure who I'd drop. Maybe depends if Hoolahan is fit or not. A Howson, Tettey, Johnson midfield does have some appeal!

This'll be tight, I expect they'll put 11 behind the ball and try and nick a 1-0.

They could revert to the Holloway era, being at home, Splutcho!  ;)

Let's hope so, because if they try and play us at our game, we'll win!

I've never been to Bloomfield Road before & have just noticed the "restricted view" on the ticket. Are they all like this in the away end? How come I've paid £25 am I in the posh seats or something?

Ha, it was only after I scanned my ticket to post the pic I noticed the restricted view too! ( I only did it as its normally admin who starts these threads and I don't have the skillz to make a fancy graphic!)

Never been either! Did you pay an online booking fee maybe?

Been to Blackpool many times, but never for football, cant wait for it to be honest, me and my mate going up for a weekend of football and drinking, but just wondered if anyone that has been knows if they have screens in the ground to watch the lunchtime games on?

Does anybody know if there are still away tickets left for this? And whether I can pay on the gate, or purchase and collect in Blackpool?

I was convinced that I was in Prague for this game, and I'm not.

I also turned down a spare ticket for The Libertines at Alexandria Palace tomorrow night for the same reason. Double whammy.

Just can't see anything but a Norwich win here.

That said I said the same about the Birmingham game.

Line-Up:

Ruddy
Martin Turner Hooiveld Olsson
Tettey Johnson
Redmond Hoolahan Jerome
Grabban

Hopefully we switch back to 4-2-3-1, as against Birmingham and for most of the Brentford game we didn't pose any real any attacking threat playing 4-4-2.

I'd keep Wes in personally, as I think he was just having a bad day, and wasn't fully fit. Another bad game and I'd take him out for our game vs Charlton though.

I agree about the 4-4-2, but hopefully a 4-2-3-1 with Jerome up front and Wes flanked by Redmond and Grabban.

Blackpool appear to be getting their act together now, so will certainly not be the push over they were a few games ago. I still expect a City victory though, providing we get off the coach and start the game as though we mean it, and sustain a reasonable tempo and intensity throughout.....we just cannot keep going behind like we have against average sides or, keep having these what I would describe as casual periods during the game. When we do finally play to our potential for more than 45 minutes there will certainly be a side or two who will be on the end of a tonking, but I don't think it will be Blackpool today......you never know though...would be great to see Grabban and Jerome notch in the same match!!

This seems particularly relevant when we go behind. It needs someone in midfield, either Johnson or Tettey currently, to get hold of the ball and pick up the tempo, start dictating play.

We seem to have similar issues if we have a short period where we've created several chances, but missed. It seems that we think it's easy and that we will score in a minute. Before you know it, we have dropped the pace and nothing much is happening.

This is a very important game - we need to recover our momentum. Above all we must staunch the leaking of goals by the defence and the misplaced passes which lead to them, and also convert some of our chances. Two goals from 28 chances, or whatever, in the last league game  is certainly not promotion form. Neither is the failure to close down opponents and block them when they are about to shoot.

I have a suspicion that that Hooiveld may survive for one more game, but the point may be coming when NA has to use both \Whittaker and Martin, with no cover at RB.  There is still a month before Bennett comes into the reckoning, so the manager may have to go with Cuellar or Iggy.

We are the team which other teams are determined to beat, and we mustn't make their task easier.

The result?  If we can keep Blackpool down to one goal, then I fancy 1-1, or 2-1 to us.

I agree, this is an important game, theres a few teams breathing down our neck, should we slip up. We must maintain the momentum.
