Here we go again!

I shall be following from afar, as working in the Gulf of Mexico just now.

Lineups?

Pritchard straight in?

I'm assuming it'll be something like this -

Ruddy
Pinto Bennett Klose Olsson
Howson Tettey
Canos Hoolahan Naismith
Jerome

Have a feeling they won't put Pritchard straight in but going forward he'll be a starter. I think we'll lose, because it's the first game of the season and we always do.

We haven't won on the opening day since 2002, so I'm not overly confident of a result despite the fact that on paper this is a game we should win. You would've said the same about Fulham - Newcastle though.

Ruddy
Pinto Bennett Klose Olsson
Howson Tettey
Pritchard Naismith Hoolahan
Jerome
Subs: McGovern, Whittaker, Mulumbu, Dorrans, Canos, Maddison, Lafferty.

The speed in which we completed the Pritchard deal inclines me to believe that he will probably play, he has played for Spurs a few times in their pre-season. The fact that we haven't bought in another striker means Lafferty will have to start on the bench. Also the fact that Bennett and Klose played together a fair bit in pre-season suggests that they will partner each other for this game, I haven't been at all impressed with Bennett though. Martin and Brady are obviously both out injured. The team in general though isn't that difficult to predict.

Gonna say 1-1, Naismith getting our goal.

Pretty much as expected except Jacob Murphy given a start. I would've been surprised had he even made the bench let alone starting the game. Quite an exciting prospect though having Naismith and Hoolahan feed balls into him with his pace. No Canos or Maddison on the bench but Pritchard is.

Great to see Jacob Murphy start. Maybe we'll even get to see them both on the pitch today.

Not able to get a link for the game but it sounds like the perfect half for us. Inspired selection from Neil to give Jacob Murphy his first league start :D

We haven't won on the opening day for 14 years so I wouldn't say we're safe yet. Hopefully though we don't take our foot off the gas and we can get a couple more. Absolutely delighted with that first 45 though.

Because you're a stay at home plastic ?
It was the 3 trains I'd have to catch which did it. Is only 74 miles away from me, but 6 trains in one day is my nightmare. Then we go and score 4 goals and it feels less of a nightmare in hindsight

Didn't watch the game but sounds like we were as good as Blackburn were bad. As long as the injury to Olsson isn't anything serious it was pretty much an ideal way to start of the season, although Blackburn's goal was a bit of a poor one to concede. All in all excellent though, and that Hoolahan - Naismith combination is a thing of beauty at this level.

Also, I hope the club put highlights of the game on Youtube like they did last time we were in the Championship. That show on Channel 5 is abysmal. Didn't show any replays and didn't show any highlights other than the goals. We hit the post twice ffs.

Spent the weekend in Norwich but didn't get to see highlights until I got back home to Cornwall. Really pleased to see such a variation in the goals that were scored. Individual skill plus precise passing and the old fashioned far post cross.

Did the RunNorwich 10K and delighted to get two NCFC drinks bottles in the goody bag.
