One goal from seven shots yesterday. This is almost exactly the average conversion rate this season. It's not bad : not far below average for premiership and about same as eg Liverpool and Southampton. Leicester are closer to one in five and have the highest conversion rate. Villa have worst. 

Looked at like this, creating more chances is a more realistic way to score more goals than suddenly having world class finishing. I would go as far as to say if we don't create more chances than we did yesterday we won't beat Newcastle and Sunderland.

Getting shots on target from the strikers would be a start;   none by them in the last two games and just 3 shots on target from our strikers in the last 6 games (2 jerome 1 bamford) 

Over the last 6 games 55 shots, just 10 on target and 4 goals is a problem.
