One of the more satisfactory nights
Almost it ended without any frights
(Last Friday of course I´m referring to
But I´m guessing that you already knew)
Though with a handful of minutes to go
We fell asleep and allowed them to show
Thankfully this time we´d already scored
So fingernails didn´t need to be gnawed
And anything other than a home win
Would have felt like one more thump on the chin
So, an improvement but still we must learn
Not to be careless when a lead we earn
And it was fitting our two goals should be
Scored by our leading scorer, Jerome C
Aided by two of the others who shone
Gary O´Neil and one Jonny Howson
Whittaker, I´m sorry, does still seem weak
However much Martin may want to peak...
...at centre-back, I´d prefer a return
To his normal berth from his long sojourn
Such minor details though shouldn´t detract
From what was a good night out, that´s a fact
And if we can carry into this week
The same intent and skill, it won´t be bleak
Middlsbrough first though and then Forest too
Will prove if we have the depth in our crew
Personally from those two I´d take two draws
Which would do no harm in helping our cause
And at the moment on paper, I´d say
Friday´s eleven´s the best we can play
But with an array of centre-backs here
Specialists too, I´d like one to appear
Hooiveld was injured but seems fit again
But off the radar of one Adams N
And what of our two Spanish amigos
Cuellar and Miquel must be feeling froze
Strange, when Adams himself made all the buys
Wouldn´t to use one of them be quite wise
Still, I guess that´s why I´m no Yellows boss
