Being linked this morning. Though Neil said he didnt want to develop other teams youth? Him and Pritchard would be useful acquisitions if wer're going to go down this route

loan with a possible buy at the end or on a permanent would be even better, can't see him ever making the Chelsea line up tbh as they seem to want big name players, just look at Lukaku.

This move would smack of desperation to me. Would rather we went for any of the other strikers we've been linked with than him.

Think we need to learn the lessons of Kane.

Though we'll never know how he might have done, what limited glimpses we saw of him suggested he wasnt quite ready. Norwich dont need other clubs' potential. We need our own potential, or players ready to make an impact.

If we had been able to sign Kane on a permenant - now that would have been a coup.

Similarly I think we should be signing players ready to make an impact, or potential we can call our own. Would be happy to sign Bamford or someone similar on a permanent deal. But Im not prepared to let someone elses investment make their mistakes with us

Yeah if he scores 15 for us we would be more than grateful for him.

I thought like more loans that show intent and can be used to lure bigger calibre players like Stoke City's Van Ginkel move.

Anyway with good buy option I would take him. Age is right and he got potential. Man City's Zuculini could be another potential loan+buy player after unsuccesful La Liga stint.

Me personally, I wouldnt want to loan a player without a buy option. I would prefer us to buy potential, as if it comes off he is our asset. A successful loan only means we return a player to his parent club who either keep him, or he proves out of our reach like happened with Naughton.

An unsuccessful loan simply means we've allowed a youngster to make his mistakes and learn from it but at our expense. Thats the trade-off you get with training - but it should be us that reap the benefits not another club. That is us being used and paying the price.

The way I see it unsuccessful loans mean we suffer on the pitch. Successful loans mean we get no further benefit than that players contribution for however long on the pitch. No sell on value, no improved player for next season.

Id rather we gave our own prospects the chance (even if they're poorer players) than further someone else's player.

My philosophy - bring in established players on loan who are perhaps a calibre above what we could buy, or bring in loans with permanent options - try before you buy for instance, where we stand to benefit.

Otherwise give the opportunity to our own youth, or buy in new potential.

Just my own personal opinion and Im sure many will disagree!

he seems to have been backed this morning to go back to Middlesbrough 14/1 to 4/5 so far today.

Permanent or loan? Im guessing loan. He's proven himself at champ level though, so surely he now needs to step up? Needs playing or selling Chelsea

No idea if perma or loan, havn't even seen a rumour recently for him to go to them. I just noticed the odds had dropped.
