If Naismith has something to prove I would put hm on the bench on Wednesday night, may as well get him to earn his move and may as well get something out of him while we are still paying his wages.

I find the Naismith story all a bit frustrating and sad, in my opinion the best senior player on our books, who if managed and motivated well could do a great job (in the team) during the time he is with us. But I know I'm very much in the minority..

Nah I don't disagree, it has been frustrating. It has not worked out for many reasons, the first obviously being that he just hasn't been quite good enough. Also we had a dearth of players playing in his position, especially this season, if we were playing a midfield three of Maddison, Murphy and Pritchard you just wouldn't drop any of them for him. Plus he has had injury niggles and is really only just getting fit again, perhaps if he had been fit all season he may have got his chance.
But obviously the main driver behind getting shot is the need to get his wages off the books.
