Why this message board died a death

Started off with an explosion of new members but from day 1 it has been overly moderated.

To many threads locked and elitism amongst the few who regularly post on here.

The pinkun and wrath continue to thrive.

Time to put this mutt out of its misery

This forum is dead? Wish someone had told me.

Sure there are other forums that are more active but I find the discussions here are mostly free of trolls and pointless negativity.

the only reason a forum dies is because members don't post.  simple really yes admins have a part to play .  I always have believed after building a forum back in 1999  plus built and help  many since.. that it should be a place where views can be expressed without the need of abuse, because you don't agree. 

my line is I post what I would say to somebody's face over a pint in the pub.    There are always trolls,idijuts and those who have an inborn need to be top dog, the keyboard is their domain they do not have to come out from behind.

But if members post new subjects and answer others posts  it would not die

I think the only reason this forum is starting to fade away is just simply not enough regular posters.  

This is by far the best NCFC forum i've seen in terms of number of trolls and keyboard warriors, because they're aren't any on here. You can actually have a sensible chat with people on here

Rubbish.

I just looked through the threads, and out of hundreds started I found three that were locked, and that was because there was already a thread on the same subject. I don't think that is unreasonable.

And in our time one poster has been banned, and one was on the naughty step for a week. Again, not unreasonable.

With over 20,000 posts in total on the forum, I wouldn't call that overly heavy handed moderating.

Is there a particular thread you have an issue about, or is this just a general whinge?

Morty you are spectacularly missing the point I want to talk Norwich in a constructive manner there is little talk going on!

Point of the thread somewhat provocatively was what needs to happen to kick start this board.

In fact the threads I was referring to have gone altogether.

There was a very interesting one on is Paul Lambert aka the Messiah the greatest manager we have ever had. The second one was about the amount of plastic fans we seem to be attracting.
