All hypothetical, but the latter two would cost double the first two, and £6m for Grabban would cover most the difference.

Personally I'd sell Grabban and try and sign Austin.

People talking about keeping Grabban to send a message, but what better message than to purchase a player who is frankly twice the player of the one you have just sold to your rival.

Norwich sign Austin, Bournemouth sign Grabban. Which one is going to hit double figures?

I don't know how realistic us signing Austin is, its bizarre that players these days get linked to both top 4 clubs and bottom half clubs at the same time. I guess that shows how much money the TV deal is worth these days.

I do wonder why Austin is still at QPeeR ..  he is proven and 15Mill isn't a great deal to some clubs ..  any signing is a gamble whether a few 100K or millions.  but why when Ings was snapped up and so was Rodriguez a few seasons ago  both quickly and yet here we are near the end and Mr Austin still in place ..

But yea   .. I would sell Grabban and go for Austin...

I think Afobe is massively overpriced on the back of half a season at championship level. Worth 2m in January, now they want what 15? Might be worth that to them but not to us. Contrast that with Austin who has proven himself at Premier league level and has consistently scored goals wherever he has been. So he might not have Arsenal on his CV, but remember that so did Miquel.

Austin's fee is arguably justifiable. Afobe's is not... yet.

Id say bite Bournemouth's hand off and go for Austin. I like Walters and think he would offer a lot to the team, but not as our sole signing. Murray wouldnt be a bad option, but not sure he's an upgrade on Jerome, which if we're looking to bring people in they should be hot prospects or an improvement on what we have. We dont need bodies, we've got Lafferty, Hooper and RvW for that
