About 20 on there at the moment, with either people wanting an entire thread each to tell us all that they told us so and inviting us to admire their superiority, or general miserablists who seem happier that were struggling and that they can allow their misanthropy free reign!

As for the question, I have to say, reluctantly and with desperate sadness for a man I hugely rated as a player and decent human being, that this just isn't working. He needs to learn his trade as a manager in an easier setting. I never, ever thought I would say this, but Tony Pulis would be perfect.

We're in a league where "anyone can beat anyone" is actually true and not just a bullshit marketing platitude. I'd like to see where we are once everyone has played everyone, i.e. Christmas.

We've got 7 games left in 2014 and looking at the opponents we *should* be beating all of them except Derby. Pick up a load of points from those games and suddenly everything is rosy again, fail to, and it becomes clear that Adams isn't the man for the job.

I mean bloody hell collectively as fans we gave Hughton over a year of some of the dullest football I have ever seen before the knives came out, I think Adams deserves half a season.

Fair enough, I just wanted to hear your rationale.

In our last 9 games, we've won once and drawn 4 four times. We have 7 points from 27. I'm not sure if there's any reason for optimism in the next 7.

I think it's accepted that a team's best chance to get promoted from this league is the season directly following relegation from the Prem. I don't want us to fritter that chance away.

Last season Wigan sacked Owen Coyle in November, with Wigan in mid-table.

Uwe Rosler got them into the play-offs. 

It is now November, we are in mid-table, and we need to do the same thing. It would be a disaster if we didn't at least reach the top six this season and give ourselves a chance. Not least because we have some very good players at this club who don't want to be playing for a mid-table Championship team who would submit a transfer request in the summer. 

Turner, Ruddy, Olsson, Howson, Redmond, Tettey, Jerome.

We need those players more than we need Neil Adams, because we won't be able to replace them if we aren't at least viewed as a team in contention.
