I celebrated so hard it hurt.

Norwich 2 - 1 Newcastle

I'm sure you all remember it. The Safri thunderbolt, Kluivert equalizing in the 90th minute only for Ashton to go and score the winner in the last minute.

We had just beaten Man Utd at home in the previous game, that was pretty good too.

That Jackson goal against Derby is certainly my favourite ever moment as a Norwich fan (so far), purely because of the circumstances. Don't think I've ever jumped as high as I did when I saw that ball trickle in. Almost wished I was in the Snakepit that day though, as the celebrations were mental as you can see from the video. I'll certainly never forget it.

Seeing Pilkington's header loop over Lindegaard to give us the lead against the Manchester United is also pretty unforgettable. One moment that also always sticks out for me, is Lee Crofts goal against Ipswich at Carrow Road, which we eventually won 2-0. That was my first ever East Anglian Derby, and I was loving it There's also Chris Martin's 90th minute winner against Leeds, to effectively secure the League 1 title, Lansbury's last minute winner against Millwall, Kei Kamara and Holty winning us the game in the last few minutes against Everton, Tettey's screamer against Sunderland. There's actually quite a lot of great memories.

My favourite ever game though was easily when I was in the away end at Portman Road, 5-1 up, 2nd in the table, singing "Cheerio, Cheerio, CHEERIOOOOO" to the Ipswich fans. Atmosphere in the Norwich end was unbelievable, so happy I went.

Unfortunately I'm not old enough to have seen Goss' goal against Bayern, or us play in Europe at all tbh. Would love to have a memory like that.

Certainly up there with the best I've seen. Off the top of my head the others would be;

-Hucks vs Brum - the one where he took it from inside his own third and scored from just outside the box. Pretty special as it was one of the few times Huckerby actually was as far back as his own thrid.

-Crofts vs Barnsley - Fashanuesque

Also maybe not to the standard of those but I really love Holt's goal away at Everton. The one where he picked the ball up with his back to goal on the 6 yard box, 2 touches and then bang.

Good thread Morty.

For me it has got to be the Derby game. Just for the incredible drama of it. In time added on beyond time added on - but it was such a defining moment changing what had developed into a play off season into a potential (to be realised) automatic promotion season.

It would also have been great to have been following it on Sky to hear Geoff stelling say "and there's been yet another late goal at Carrow Road will they have to put the champagne back on ice at Loftus Road". I think QPR supporters were already on the pitch celebrating believing we had only drawn. But I was at the game and I would not change that for anything!

I really feel as though I should come up with something from the 71/72 season and our first ever promotion to the top flight. But I really cannot remember anything that has the same drama, significance and impact as that Derby game.

Oli Johnsons second goal, deep into injury time, after coming on as a sub, to beat Southend. I liked him, and had high hopes for him, I wonder what became of him?

He had good hair. A trait I like in a footballer.

I really, really enjoyed our whole league one season. Apart from the beginning bit!

Yep Holt's goal at Everton was a thing of beauty. Unfortunately I was in the home seats that day (I am married in to a family of Evertonians) and could not celebrate!

Fair enough.

I couldn't get a ticket for this, watched it in a bar in the lower Barclay on the beamback.

Utter, utter mayhem, the place was swimming in beer from mental celebrating. Took my then girlfriend, and she was just looking around, utterly incredulous at grown men literally losing it.

As I said earlier, I was there, and it was just incredible. Easily the best atmosphere I've ever experienced at a football match, and the mocking of the Ipswich fans was just priceless.

Holty's reaction to the 2nd goal as well, never noticed that before

All things considered, we have had a lot of good times over the last 4 or 5 years.

I remember saying to my kids, when we were promoted to the Premiership after blitzkrieging through league one and the Championship "Remember this, because what we have just seen doesn't happen too often, it probably doesn't get any better than this"
