I'm racking my mind for an opinion, any opinion at all about this transfer window, and indeed Norwich City Football Club in general and there's just nothing there. I'd make an excellent zen buddhist atm.

So we're down another (sort of) left midfielder without a replacement? What a strange transfer window.

That was probably the area we needed to strengthen the most and instead it's been weakened.

Overall though there's not much to say, good or bad.

Really dont get how we are made stronger by allowing Lafferty to leave. Dont see who that benefits...

But I didn't really expect much incoming. Outgoings yes. That is up to other clubs who make approaches. And luckily, nobody of real value to the club at the moment has left. Lafferty was definitely not a success and this move does us no harm. Ollson, despite some of his walkabouts this season, could still offer the team something.

AN has no real experience of buying and selling players in the top third of English football so I think he did wisely in not buyng anyone. He obviously knows Andreu so lets welcome the guy and hope he is the catalyst in midfield to change things around.

Don't understand the concerns about Lafferty. Great character, but he was awful more often than he was good, was a booking waiting to happen (although usually not for long) and was shocking in front of goal. BJ is clearly the left sided option with Olsson overlapping outside. I think you'll see us play a lot more with 5 in midfield and one up top going forward, particularly with Andreu arriving as he constantly looks to attack the box.

lafferty is a funny one, he looked like he should have been a great link man, he had a good touch and pass, but we only every saw it sporadically and he was always a liability mentally.  I guess the latter is probably down to the former, despite his reputation.  Not really surprised hes gone though, this squad is top heavy at the moment.  

I hope Alex goes with the 4-3-3 philosophy I've read they were adopting at the accies.  The idea of Jerome spear heading two from Howson, Redmond, Adreu, Josh and at some point Jacob excites me, so much pace and trickery (given they develop as they have been).

West Brom now saying the whole thing fell through because Olsson didn't turn up on time for his medical....

Don't buy that for a second. For last minute deals there's no requirement for the medical to be done before the deadline. Even if Olsson was struggling to make it to West Brom negotiations could have been done by phone.

Anyone know if there was any truth in any of the rumours around Burnley bidding for Russell Martin and BJ, or whether Grabban was attracting interest? Another half season with Becchio it would seem then - not even a sniff?

I'm really surprised nobody came in for Becchio. He must be on too big a wage to attract the right level of team to afford him, even on loan.

Don't think there was a bid for either Martin or Johnson, however there was supposedly interest from Burnley in both players. There was also meant to be interest from Brighton for Grabban on loan, but no offer. Don't know about Becchio.

I wonder what its like for team-mates when a deal falls through?

When Olsson turns up for training tomorrow, how will the players feel, knowing he'd dashed to the midlands to try and jump ship?

They all have the same career so have done it themselves most of them, but just wonder whether it would create any hostilities/tension. I've no idea

I doubt there would be any issue, players often move several times in their career, its no biggie.

If someone you work with left for a new job would you feel compelled to be hostile towards him, or at the least, not speak to him again?

Remember that the loan window opens in 5 days guys, still time for players in and out on loan. Teams don't waste the final days of the window negotiating loan deals, Lafferty is an exception because he went overseas (loan window is for domestic loans to football league clubs).

Still plenty of business to be done, hopefully we'll bring in a loan or two next week.

Me personally no, but there are a lot of different personalities in a squad and its not out of the realms of possibility that it might stick in the craw of some - possibly those who are ultra loyal to the club, those who maybe didnt like him much in the first place and saw him as thinking he was better than them - who knows. Not a greta leap to imagine one or two might be a bit of a d*ck about it. Would love to know how they feel about Bassongs return, and who cared and who didnt when Wes called the club a shower of sh*te...

I would like to think they would all have a laugh about it, Bassong is just a bit thick, and I'm sure when Wes was slagging off the club it was aimed at boardroom / management, and not at fellow players.
