Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe plays the full 90 minutes for U21s

Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe played the full 90 minutes for U21s in a 2-2 draw at Leicester today, after the 60 minutes he played last week against Chicago Fire. Another option for Alex Neil then. McGrandles also played the full 90 minutes and came close to scoring.

He looked really handy for the short amount of time we have seen him. Really hope he can stay fit. If he can, then Dorrans will not be necessary IMO

Thing is, with all his time injured, and lack of match fitness, I wonder if this season is, more or less, a right off for him now?

I'd hope not. Still a lot of matches left yet. The schedule gets pretty busy again with Tuesday night games, so maybe we'll see him rotated in. Then its just a case of if he's good enough to grab the chance and make the place his own. Or of course, if he does get crocked again...

There's a lot of games left. Assuming he has no more injuries, i think he has enough time to play his way into the team. Especially considering we don't really know what our best attacking line up is yet under Neil.   But Wes playing so well this week probably hasn't done his chances any good

Wes didn't exactly covet himself in glory last night vs Charlton. Gave the ball away a few times (admittedly in the final third, which I suppose if you are going to do it, that is the place to). He sometimes looks like he tries to hard, if that makes any sense. Compared to Saturday it was like watching a different player.

I really think we need to see a fit VOO as soon as possible.

But haven't we now got Andreu? VOO could well be a sick note. And to be honest, who really knows what he is like? AN does know what he has in Andreu.

IMO, Andreu and Odjidja-Ofoe are not competing for the same position. The former is more an AM playing in forward positions whereas I think Odjidja-Ofoe is more an attacking CM playing alongside a DM.

Agree with that but Safri15 appeared to be comparing Wes with VOO. Aren't Wes and Andreu more comparable?

Yes Wes and Andreu more comparable, IMO. There's also Howson, though who can play as a box-to-box CM or AM further forward. Neil certainly does have a lot of options when everybody is fit.

Sorry you are right, Wes and VOO aren't he same type of player really. Looks like VOO is more of a box-to-box so in that regard closer to Howson. However my comparison was mainly about the creativity. From the very little I've seen of VOO (mainly youtube admittedly) he seems quite capable of playing that 'killer ball' and has the creativity that perhaps other than Hoolahan we seem to lack in the middle of the park.
