What and where is your local?

Carrying on with the pub theme in this general chat forum, where is your local boozer and what's the name? Weirdest name wins! Mine is the Longe Arms in Spixworth, which has recently had a decent makeover and now offers scran, has the essential ales/lagers and fruit based drinks for the ladies. Also has a lovely dart board and pool table. What is more now in the summer months there is a vast beer garden to be taken advantage of!

I used to play in the same pool league as the Longe Arms, it was nice. Every pub in the small town I live in are really awful - but before I moved The Kings Head in Lingwood was greatly improved under the management of an old schoolteacher of mine, and the pub I used to play pool for, The Kings Arms in Ludham is a decent spot if you're in the area.

I don't really go out to the pub much unless its pre / post footy.

But I am roughly equidistant between The Nelson and the Coach and Horses, on Thorpe road.

Both have their attributes, but the Coach wins on good ale and food.

Yes definitely agree, their CHB brew is a lovely drop of stuff

I have 2 local's really depending on which group of my mates I'm out with. The closest one to me is The Otter in Drayton, but the one I go to more often is The Silver Fox in Taverham. The only problem with that is the Silver Fox is that it's about a 35 minute walk from my house when you're sober, so when you're not it's quite a long trip and a treacherous journey :D

I usually go to the pub maybe twice a week, sometimes more sometimes less. Only 19 so I've only been going to pubs for about just over a year, but literally there's not too many ways to spend a Friday/Saturday night with mates when there's football on.

OK, as I am an exile will not mean much to anybody - bit mine is the Malt Shovel. An entry for the name if nothing else. Named because the local brewery King and Barnes was adjacent - now flats.

Good beer, good food, live music and underutilised by me!

From Across the Pond.  It's about 15 minutes away in North Richland Hills.  Sure we have bars around, but this one is the closest true English pub.  Unfortunately it's a Gooner pub, but they're pretty welcoming when I'm there to watch NCFC.
