What does your name and avatar mean?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section and sorry if this is a duplicate thread. This was definitely done on the other forum and I thought it had been done here, but I cant find the old thread to bump.

Thought it was fun when done before. So what is the story behind your online identity?

 

[Fenway Frank]

My second sport is baseball, the first major league game I went to was Boston Red Sox so they had to be my team. The Red Sox play at Fenway park and they have one of the best match day hot dogs you will ever eat called a Fenway Frank, hence the name. 

On the  " other site " my avatar is an image of The Jam, the best band of all time for me ( in my opinion ? )

Back in the MSN groups day, my username was "Sultan of ping" after a band I liked at the time. The drummer was Morty Mccarthy, which was my username for a while, then shortened to morty. Avatar here obviously is my boat race. Avatar on the other site is a pic of ginger pele, which is actually a photo of a tee shirt I own.

I'm an actual male canary and my avatar is a photo of a female canary from a magazine full of naked canary chicks. 

I've never actually had the avatar 'CanaryBoy' or 'CanaryBoy1' anywhere else, I just picked it on a whim when creating this site because I needed to have a normal member account, to ensure that what I could do and see with an admin account was the same as what I could see and do with a member account (because of the way you have to set 'permissions' for every single aspect). 

I don't actually like my username at all, but don't want to confuse people by changing it

Name Din is just what people call me. My name is Daniel but when I was a kid one of my mates called me 'Diniel' by accident, and over time that got gradually shortened to Din, which is what everybody calls me now.

Avatar doesn't really mean anything, just found a random Norwich related photo that I liked.

My avatar is a word that my dad swears he "invented" when he was a kid, though I have no idea what it is supposed to mean. Luckily for me he doesn't do the internet, so I've stolen it for my name for everything online. Quite literally, if you see a splutcho on the net, it's me. Which I like.

My avatar is a picture of Chunk from The Goonies film, it was changed to this when the site had it's update because it's also my facebook picture. It's my facebook picture because I was roundly mocked at high school for looking a bit like him (I don't see it) and being a bit portly (I do see it) and I thought if you can't beat them, join them.

Name is pretty self explanatory, you have to be a proud fan when you live in these parts.

My avatar for those who can't quite see is the celebration for the 5th (i think) goal at Portaloo Road when we ripped them a new one. The reason is when you open the image you can just about see me in the corner with my shirt off going mental. Best night of my life!

As a child, we'd always refer to Indiana Jones as "Indy Bones", for some reason this stuck with me and I started using it as my gaming and forum name when I was about 18. Now nearly 20 years later I'm STILL using the name online, even if no-one IRL ever uses it!

[It's Character Forming]

I was looking for a name which summed up my experience of following City for over 20 years now, and It's Character Forming seemed to sum it up perfectly. It's Character Forming is the name of a ship in one of Iain Banks' Culture novels.

I'm now in my early 50s and still love the highs you get when watching City, whether it's being in the Snakepit when we beat 1p5wich in the playoff semi or going to Wembley for a surprisingly comfortabkle win.  As for the lows, such as losing 7-1 at Man City or 5-0 at Liverpool (or watching the beam back at CR when the scum stuffed us), well, you've got to handle them too.

My avatar signifies I can't be bothered to find an avatar TBH.

The name is where I played as a child and football as a teenager and there is no avatar as I'm too old and too ugly and could put one million images up to describe the full and enjoyable life I have had.

Username is my postcode. I thought about being Bethnal Green and Yellow, but there's already a Bethnal Yellow and Green on the other forum (and maybe on here) and it might get a bit Talented Mr Ripley if it looks like I'm stealing his identity.

Avatar is my favourite shot of Big Grant Holt during Movember a few years ago when he looked like he'd walked straight out of the seventies and onto the pitch.

I think mine are fairly self-explanatory to anyone with a decent knowledge of geography.  I'm from Texas (AKA "The Lone Star State").  My avatar is Texas-themed mashup of the NCFC badge, using the outline of Texas and replacing the castle with The Alamo and the lion with an armadillo.

Phil Boyer was not the greatest ever City player but he is possibly the most underrated. He was very good and as I was then an impressionable teenager, he was very exciting to watch.   He would chase anything and was a good provider and finisher. Chose the name at random really because I wanted a fresh start after leaving the nest of vipers because of the negativity and trolling.  I got fed up with being fed up and haven't even looked at the site in over two years though I do read Pink Un news stuff  

The avatar is of course the man who could walk on water but I couldn't find one in a Norwich shirt at the time.

The username is the name of the battle flag of the Knights Templar. I'm a history graduate and have had a lifelong interest in the Order.

Username refers to where I was living when I signed up to not606 years ago.  Avatar is my mini-me granddaughter, born on my birthday 6 years ago, who looks remarkably like me as a child.  Bit boring really.
