Anyhow, the latest to be linked is the coach of the New Zealand national team. A bloke called Hudson. I have to say he wasn't on my most wanted list.

Exactly the type of stupid appointment this board would make to show that they can "think outside of the box" and get a few pats on the back from 'football people' who will point out that because he never kicked a ball professionally and has really good hair he is basically the next Jose Mourinho. F' F's SAKE.

Not picking one of the obvious candidates will be touted as the "Norwich way", because we're a 'special club' and Hudson is a micro batch 330ml tin of craft beer brewed in a nuclear bunker three metres beneath the ground in Shoreditch (which has a good chance of being completely sh*t, but at least we can give ourselves credit for trying to be artisan and different and take a photo of it for our twattagramterest account) and Warburton is a pint of Fosters, boring but consistent and does the simple job that it is given. 

Sorry, I'm in a strange mood and I actually like craft beer. But that is how I feel about us trying to be left field again this soon after Alex Neil. We just need a bog standard pint of lager right now, a beer that has been around the block. We need a Fosters, or a Castlemaine, or a Stella Artois, we don't need a Beaverton Gammaray.... not this time.

Its a no for now. I'm so sick of craft beer and pallet tables that I just want six pints of lager in a pub with a dirty carpet.

Then again I did say this when we signed Naismith:

Naismith is the Hoolahan competition (then successor?) that Norwich fans have been calling for, for about 5 years. I think its a huge signing. We had serious trouble trying to attract a quality second striker / attacking midfielder under Hughton (although Wes went criminally underused by him in his final season).

I pretty much agree with much of the above, except the thing about lager obviously, ghastly stuff. What would concern me is how  such a manager would win the respect of the big egos in the dressing room who have done far more in the game. Neil managed it for a while and Mourinho for much longer of course.

But Jose Mourinho was actually an assistant manager at Barcelona under Van Gaal before he took his first managers job and when he got his big break at Porto he was actually given that chance based on what he'd done with a smaller club in the same league, so the comparisons need to stop at the good looks and charm really. 

We're about 6 years behind the curve when it comes to English clubs trying to magic up a Mourinho from nowhere, I noticed the hype around Andre Villas-Boas' fizzled out quite quickly - he has gone to make a quick buck in China and he's not even 40 yet. 

The latest fad is trying to find a Jamie Vardy in the Blue Square North.

Not keen on karanka and am more interested in a Hudson tbh although my preference is someone with some league experience.   German coaches are miles ahead of ours and I would rather tempt someone currently successful  but improving such as Torsten Lieberknecht or  Hannes Wolf, certainly ahead of a Karanka and definitely ahead of a Pardew, Pearson (god forbid) Warburton or Rowett. 

No "named" manager has done well here and while the record with new manager is mixed we can balance every grant, adams, gunn etc with an O'Neil lambert or worthy - its a risk but in reality for us a lower one than flushing cash down with a manager with their career highlights already on their CV.
