Well, where do we start?

I don't think Mcgovern deserves to keep his place. Tettey or Howson either.

Thankfully Pinto and Dijks are back.

Or Bennett
Actually before the mis communication with McGovern, he wasn't having that bad a game.

Trouble is there isn't an obviously strong centre back pairing that jumps out at me right now. They are all much of a muchness.

Bennett started poorly but did settle,   before forgetting what a defender does for the first and third goals.

Bassong and klose for me;  drop the rest.

Good to have the full backs available again,  i have a 3-2 win feeling for this one,  with Grabban on the score sheet,  to continue our run of only winning if Pinto starts

None of our centre backs ever deserve their place in our side though do they. Bennett doesn't deserve to keep the shirt, but its not like Bassong deserves another chance to wear it either. I don't even want Klose to be wearing our shirt considering he's spent the year talking about where his next signing on fee may come from.

In fact lets wrap Klose up in cotton wool, the few million we could probably get for him from some German team will be needed for reinvestment. At least if Bennett, Bassong, Whittaker, or Djiks get injured they aren't our player in 3 months time.

Whittaker is actually the only defender to do alright last night, which says a lot about how rubbish the rest were, I'd keep him in....

                        Ruddy

Pinto    Godfrey     Djiks      Whittaker

Worth a try. I'm feeling pretty good about Whittaker at the minute, deserves a few more games on his wikipedia stats before he goes to play for Dundee or something. I like Djiks, he can find a bit of passion even though he knows we are a lost cause and would roll around on the floor laughing if we asked him to stay. Ruddy deserves a few games to say goodbye, hasn't always been rubbish.

I just want to play players that deserve a bit of respect from now until the end of the season. Not interested in anybody who has spent the season looking disinterested. That means no Bassong and no Klose in the back 5 for me. Cheerio.

No he wasn't but nor was he having a particularly good game - he was OK but he didn't much to deal with individually. It's the same with him game in game out - as soon as we're actually under pressure he struggles. He'll win the headers anyone would win, clear the ball every now and again but positioning, awareness etc - he's behind Martin in my book.

Oh yeah, he is definitely behind Martin, has been for a long time. He needs someone decent next to him to get anything resembling a good game. And Klose wasn't that man last night.

What is Michee Efete like? Looks like a big strong lad, never seen him play.

We've got nothing to play for, what's the harm in giving him a shot?

Should have kept with Wildschut but looks a decent team.

Have a read of this. Does this just prove how frustrating the season has been given the considerable talent in the squad or should we feel optimistic for the future after this glorious win?

Considering everyone is talking about a clearout this summer, this win just muddies the waters. Maybe we don't need a clearout and the only problem was AN's cluelessness. Or maybe we don't get another win for the rest of the season and everyone is saying we need a clearout again.

Not sure it does muddy much, we already knew we can attack well at home   Like the Brentford home win we do well at home v footballing teams.   Can't over look away performances v villa or Huddersfield post Neil, this is the same squad that can't defend.

We need some steel to compete against more physiclal sides and a back four to cope with better attackers when under pressure.

It was fun to watch yesterday, but nothing has changed

I think people are being quite harsh towards some players. Ruddy is not a poor keeper. He is a good keeper with a terrible defence in front of him. He will always be exposed to trouble until we sort that out. But with a decent defence he is the best keeper we've had in many a long year. I also don't agree with a lot of the negativity about tettey that I have heard. I think he does a superb job in the centre of the park and was my MOM v Reading. His high pressing was fantastic, and his motor was outstanding. His legs went towards the end of the game, but he always gives his all, and it is massively underappreciated in my view. I agree about Whittaker. I rate him and would have played him at RB instead of Martin v Huddersfield. He has suffered from prolonged spells of having Martin next to him at CB when he has played RB which has left him exposed as Martin is washed up, and frankly has been for three years now. I am a fan of Klose and I feel that he has suffered from poor coaching. It is the only thing I can think of that has transformed an international quality CB into one so prone to silly errors.

I do think Bennett has failed to progress, and needs to be moved on along with a number of others (Rudd, McGobern, Mulumbu, Bassong, Dorrans, Jarvis, Naismith, Martin, Lafferty, Turner. Jones). We have a lot of talented youngsters and I would blood them all now and drop all of the above if possible. I'm undecided on Wildschut although early impressions are not good. I would Shift on Rudd as I like Matthews as backup. Don't know about third choice though.

How nice is it to start the week with a good win behind us though. Bloody awesome. Shame we are so far off the Play offs/
