Hard to know what will happen in this transfer window to be honest. I don't like the idea of Maddison going at all, but his sale would be somewhat understandable. However I really wouldn't be happy if we sold him for something like £10m. I wouldn't be massively bothered about Klose or Tettey going if Raggett and Godfrey are able to step up, would be throwing them in at the deep end though, particularly Godfrey whose only played something like 30 competitive games and is 4 years younger than Raggett. We've also got Franke who hasn't been seen since that Millwall game. There was hope that he'd be a pretty solid player for us so maybe like a lot of the team he's capable of what we saw in the first 5 games . Hopefully Naismith does more consider his future, he actually acts on it and looks to move away. If somehow we could shift McGovern as well I'd be delighted.

Oliveira, I dunno. I can see Wolves coming in for him again this window and if we can squeeze £10m out of them then I'd be happy enough to sell him. I'd want us to reinvest a certain proportion of that in a replacement though. Don't know how much he would cost but would love us to get Bradshaw from Barnsley.

Makes sense. Shame we couldn't have loaned him to someone here but perhaps no takers or perhaps he hasn't settled.

Bit disappointing seeing as he was a relatively anticipated signing when he first came in. Sounds as if from that article that Farke still has plans for him maybe next season but to loan him out is to say that he simply doesn't see him being good enough at the moment to make our squad.

Perhaps that hints as well that Klose won't be leaving this window? If he did that would leave us with just 3 centre backs, Zimmermann, Hanley and Raggett, which isn't really enough. Maybe we'd use some of the Klose money to sign a replacement, or maybe we'd get a loan in until the end of the season which would coincide with Franke returning to us as well, or maybe we'd keep hold of Godfrey and use him as a 4th option. Hard to know with us really aha.

We also have to view thing from Ftankes point of view. He may not have settled here and If he has a good 6 months back in Germany he may ask to go back permanently

I think a return to Germany next season would be more likely.

He was a proven Bundesliga 2 defender when we signed him. It's hard to see how another half a season back there is going to have him ready for the Champs next season.

Problem is with our incredibly limited transfer funds having practically already written off circa 2m Franke doesnt bode well. Sort of mistakes we cant afford.

We haven’t really written off 2m though, if he does go back permanently we’re not going to let him leave for nothing and it could be we get our money back. All we’ve lost is his wages

chances of us getting above 500k from a Bundesliga 2 team is incredibly slim.

Hopefully he'll do well on loan and we'll get some sort of fee for him, better than being stuck with deadwood for 2.5 years. Makes sense to put players like this in the shop window, don't understand why we didn't do it with Becchio... if he'd gone and hit a scoring run in the Championship (when we were Prem) we might have got a taker. 

Some sort of try-before-you-buy deal with Naismith to Rangers would make sense also. Perhaps we'll cover 75% of his wages for this 6 months, if they want him again next season we'll only cover 40% (or something along those lines).... or if Naismith loves it back at Rangers and wants a 2/3 year deal with Rangers he'll have to take the pay cut without a pay off. Need to be thinking along those lines... put players in the shop window.

Ben Godfrey's loan deal extended for the rest of the season. Pity, as would love to see him back here, but I guess it makes sense.

I hope they aren't going to let Tettey go in Jan then..................... :(

It does make sense tbf. At the moment Tettey is a key player for us and he will be for the rest of the season, and Godfrey, whilst impressing, has only had half a season of regular football under his belt. Allow him to stay for the rest of the season and hopefully develop even more, and then hopefully we'll have a ready-made replacement for Tettey when he inevitably leaves in the summer.

Am seeing a fair few people suddenly concerned that we haven't offered Tettey a contract extension yet. 31, dodgy knees and likely one of our highest earners says to me we won't be.
